I really wish there was a way to share my association with friends, but at 500MB an almanac, it's just not realistic. I'd like a feature that allowed me to export a "web-friendly" subset of HTML to share my dynasty with others.

I love polls like this and have wanted to do one for OOTP for years now, but just felt it would be too much of an undertaking trying to come up with what everyone felt was a good list of voting options. That, and I figured it might be putting too much pressure on Markus to add the most popular ones. So thanks for possibly taking it on yourself!

I'd have a difficult time paring my choice just down to one though. So, instead I'd like to make my one request of you: If you do do a poll, please don't just ask people to vote for the one; please ask them to rank their favourite 5, 10 whatever as that would give us so much more information on what the community would really like.

If you find you'd like some help with the poll or the tabulating, let me know. I'd be happy to help if you'd do it if it weren't for it being extra work. I really hope you do it because for years I've been curious as to what the results would be. I think it was done at least once before, but I seem to remember it being too flawed in some way.

can you not schedule an exhibition game via the schedule editor?

Another thing I'd like to see, would be in the create a player function. Id like,in addition too,the current ways to create a player, established, young and raw,and the 2 other ones a cant think of right now ,which are all good, but Id like to be able to create the player from scratch manually, then have a certain amount of rating points to distribute to my choosing, ala ITP,if you will. Then you could create your own player and see how he turns out.

This addition would perfect the game for me. It is something I have always wanted the game to do, and something that I think could be coded fairly easily.
Excellent idea,Ive always wanted to do a historical league with that premise,to have everybody on the same normalized scale, through out history.

Markus already gave the heads up for this feature. See my post here:

There would be a few dozen of these for every facet of a stadium
Once you entered all of them in, you clicked a button and a new stadium pops out.
Complete with # of seats, fence size, alltitude and park factors already calulated using all the parameters you set that affect park factors

Then a list of options pops up

Cancel
Generate new stadium using the above parameters
Save this stadium (for later use)
Save this stadium and use with exsisting team

If you click the last option, a list of all the teams in your universe pops up and you click the team you want to assign the new stadium too

This option would be simply fantastic
It is easy enough to use that it only takes a few minutes per stadium yet powerful enough that it can generate thousands of stadiums using the same parameters and tens of millions of stadiums using all the different parameters

There also be a random button that will randomize all the parameters and and give you a brand new stadium with the click of a button that is totaly unique

In just a few minutes you can generate a few total pitchers parks
Hitter friendly small parks for use in foreign countries
Massive run neutral stadiums for huge cities
And everything in between

In short, this feature would take stadium creation into the next level
This is a fantastic idea. Gets my vote

Not sure it's doable for a patch. More like 2008.

Yep, Hall of Fame Leagues are something ALOT of people would enjoy. It is also something that gets asked bout every year. There are even several associations out there that try to do this manually, by editing every players ratings and resetting the player ages every year. It would be amazing to get this added into the engine!

You all had better ideas than I did. Of all of them I like this the best.

But if I get 1 that isn't on here, it would be to add more interaction between players/managers etc off the field - subplots if you will.

IMO, this is the only thing that OOTP lacks.

This version is tenfold better than any other version as far as historical baseball goes. But I think there is alot of untapped potential on the details of making and assembling all-star leagues in a quick and easy fashion, that could be addressed if disired. Im very pleased with this years game to say the least, and anything that could be added to the historical experience ,I'm all for.

I'd like to see a few basic financial items on the trade screen, so you actually know how much cash the team your trying to work out a deal with has. It gets annoying adding players to a deal and then getting the ....does not have enough cash!

I'd like to see more records tracking, for example, team records, consecutive innings pitched without allowing a run, consecutive games played.

I know this is #2, but can the league reports menu be moved so it has its own header on the menu bar instead of being a subset of the league menu?

Yep, if we were able to get this feature implimented, I'd be happy to construct a Roster set based upon members of the Hall of Fame (I would need a little help from someone with a lot of knowledge of the Negro Leagues to provide rating for the Negro League Players in the hall, although I could do some research on my own).

I am familar with such leagues creating some for Earl Weaver Baseball (see my Cobb vs. Gibson matchup in my avatar), and Old Time Baseball (the guys who did Tony Larussa Baseball).

A few were strickly HoF, but my favorite takes current all stars and puts them in together with the Hall of Famers. I ran one such league for a decade, and each year we'd get together and vote on which current players to import (Hall of Famers were automatically added, however most were already in the sim so this rarely happened). Fun times, such fun times. Cobb vs. Clemens, Gooden vs. Ruth, Ford vs. Griffey.

As a historical player for the most part,I do like fictional leagues ,but historical is my bread and butter. Having the ability to do a historical all-star type league, with the ability to turn aging on and off would be awesome. I dont think it would be that hard to implement down the line. Just have a extension of the add historic team feature, then click on the desired team, then have check boxes next to the list of players that you want to import into the league.

I'd love to have an option to center the ratings on league average.

"Not ready for AA" - dark red
"Probably ready for AAA" - light green
"Ready for AAA" - dark green

Maybe this could be activated via a tab on the transaction screen. I like to personally oversee every level of my minor league system and this would save a lot of time - now I am writing the information on a piece of paper while reading the minor league report and then going back to the transaction screen.
I second this...with 5 levels of minors now, this would make my life a lot easier instead of going back and forth from the report, to the transactions, to the report etc.

To my knowledge, this can already be done in the Stratagies tab ... Unless you're asking for league-wide preferences ...
