Jays averaged more than 1.5 runs per inning. Every Toronto run was earned.

I want to go check the Nats roster to see the names of those responsible for this awfulness that is the 2025 Washington Nationals. I go to their team website and.... I couldn't find it. So, I went to every other team in the National League (didn't try the AL so don't know what the situation is there} and sure enough, they have all ROSTER listed near the top next to the Team Logos as a clickable link. See for yourself:

[snip]

https://www.mlb.com/nationals - ????? Not seeing it anywhere.

Anyone else seeing it? Is it my browser (Firefox?) or are the Nats just as awful at creating web pages as they are at playing baseball?
OFG, those three dots to the right of GROUPS are a drop-down menu. The ten items on that second menu include such things as "Schedule", "Scores", "Standings" and yes, the elusive "Roster".

Enjoy.

Thanks for the tip, A69. I believe I can wrap up this mystery for OFG now.

Aside from the variability of that menu bar by team, as I mentioned previously and for reasons stated therein, apparently there is a difference in browsers.

Here is the Dodgers team page in Firefox:

Name: Image1200.jpg
Views: 210
Size: 181.2 KB

And here it is in Microsoft Edge:

Name: Image1199.jpg
Views: 212
Size: 192.1 KB

Note the elusive Roster and three-dot menu are missing in Firefox but appear in Edge.

And, as you mentioned, the three-dot menu will contain other selections, including Roster if it does not appear by itself:

Name: Image1201.jpg
Views: 223
Size: 162.1 KB

So, OFG, it's another case of Firefox, our beloved browser, letting us down.

Hmm. Let me amend that. It's another case of website designers working only with Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome in mind.

I have seen this phenomenon many times. It's why I keep Edge available when I become aware of issues like this.

Unfortunately, we Firefox users are not always aware that it's happening. When in doubt, check the website in Edge or Chrome.

I'm actually using Chrome, so it appears our web-heads (not you, Peter Parker) are giving Edge (not you, Adam Copeland) the edge, overall.

I'm sure the fans will treat her no differently than any ol' Wendelstedt and Cuzzi and when she makes a call against their team, she'll be booed relentlessly.

Equality!

May it only be that and none of the nonsense that is going on in the WNBA at this time which has me especially incensed at the morons among us.

I have a theory that the amount of brain cells on the planet has a hard cap, but since the population has grown to 8 billion, some people are now walking around just with lint in their numb skulls.

Scientists are not convinced yet.

I'm watching Mets at Brewers. Their alternate jerseys are not that bad. I thought their caps and helmets said "Mike" and I was wondering whom they were honoring. Then it occurred to me that it's MKE, short for Milwaukee and the local airport code. But why was it blurred with the dark, irregular shapes?

It turns out, after a search, that it's Milwaukee's area code 414, blended in.

Any Brewers cap w/o the top logo in baseball gets a thumbs down from me.

Agreed.

They're not the worst city connect uniforms, but I still don't care for them.

That'll go on the cover of my new book, called "You're Trying Too Hard. Stop It Before I Choose Violence"

Find it on Amazon soon. The more Mets games I watch, the angrier I get.

A reminder: the game starts at 10:15AM PT. She's listed to ump 1st base. And IINM, that means she'll probably be at home plate for the 2nd game of the doubleheader starting at 4:15PM PT.

Barves broadcast says first base in the first game, third base in the second game, plate tomorrow.

Thanks. I thought they normally rotated clockwise and maybe they do and just wanted to give her another game before umping how plate.

As far as I know, in any double-header, no umpire will have the plate in one game and work the other game as well. So you always have five umpires for a double-header.

Are we going to be OK w/a plate ump getting barely 80% of his calls correct?
