Have you generated the LEAGUE REPORT in the OOTP program under online league setup?

I don't think so, he is not finding the LATEAMS file. But he said he solved that problem, it was an error on his part.

I fixed it Larry. It looks like when the HTML files were created by the game it placed a 1904 before the players (1904p1). I redid it in another folder and it works now.

Great. I hate to have people generate this report, since it takes a while, but it is the only way to get 'live' data.

I have started to re-write the documentation file for my program.
It is not complete, but I thought it may help some people out. http://www.sim2005.com/au2/ NOTE: I am using an new HTML program (to me anyways), so don't give me a hard time!! I have not optimized the embedded graphics, so dial up people, beware of large JPG files. I will be adding to this everyday and will post here when I update it.

hey-
- the latest exe still has the old LAindex html, the bad one. - the winshares routine works for me now. If I run it at the end of the 1926 season, can I go back into the 1926pp folder, or whatever its called, several seasons later and see the winshares list? |

Well, a slow day in my office.
Did not feel like doing docs, so, I turned on PBP and simmed 1/2 season. Then wrote a routine that did this. http://www.sim2005.com/Larry_Anderson_I_PBP.html Note: This is just the first shot at it. Will add more stuff. This is a play by play for me, the entire season. Color coded by the result. I plan to add a sort by column, which will make it interesting, also put in the result of the game, plus the team playing, so it can be sorted by that. Oh, I already did the sort, it is not the fast, but since it is sorting a lot of info, not that bad.. intesting to sort pitcher or result...

Odd thing happened. I simmed the rest of the season and fixed the routine for a pitching change. It was not properly detecting it in the first version.
But, all of my box scores and pbp before the post season was gone. Very odd. I was searching in the LEAGUE SITE folder, but now changed the code to search in the \LEAGUE_NEWS_BOX folder instead. They were all there. Now just have to fix the change pitcher routine. Good news is, you do not have to generate a league site report before running this.

Hey Larry, any chance of getting manager records down the road? Would it be possible to pull from the archive?

Are you talking about for online leagues or for solo leagues where you are in manager mode or just using the information that is under the manager in the team setup?
Either way, it would be possible, but if a manager changed teams in mid season, I do not believe that is recorded anywhere, so it would be whoever is listed in the team#.html file at the end of the season. With my leagues, it is always blank on computer controlled. Quote:

That could be easily done, I will see what I can do. It is the 2nd request for that. Since the computer manager does not really matter, no bearing on the game, I did not think people would really care. In online leagues, I don't think people switch teams very often. However, in Manager mode, I guess you could switch teams.

OK, did a little enhancing to the page. I like the way it looks...
http://www.sim2005.com/1970/Larry_Anderson_I_PBP.html Note the color coding... Black for road games, yellow for away games. Green for a win, red for a loss. Blue means a hit, the darker blue, the better the hit. Red for striking out, with two shades, one for swinging and one for caught looking. Various shades of yellow for the outs. Peach for IBB and off peach color for normal walks. Black for the dreaded double play. I see I have to add a color for infield hits (a lighter blue) and fielders choices (another shade of yellow) It takes about 15 seconds to go through 2500 play by play html pages to produce this nice page.

The pitchers batter by batter was giving me a hard time. So, I went and added some enhancements to the batter version.
The pitchers is looking pretty good though. It will be pretty cool to look at and get a better idea of the extra basehits, ground outs, fly outs, etc. for the pitcher. http://www.sim2005.com/1970/Larry_Anderson_I_PBP.html The enhancements are: I now pull up the GAME INFO from the box score and add it. Game time, attendance, stadium weather, wind, player of the game and game notes. I also tabulate and put totals at the bottom for: Solo HRS, 2-run HRs, 3-run HRS, Grand Slams, ground outs vs. fly outs.

My brain might not be working exactly right, but what is the difference between road and away games? Is one supposed to be home games?

When you program at 3am, they all look alike.
It should be Home and Away or Road and Sidewalk? That is why this section is in beta (to quote Bill Gates) Thanks for pointing it out, but you could have said, 'Wow! Looks great, but...." Quote:
