Reminder (especially if you're new/just joining the group): check your placement settings and make sure it's for "use friends list" and not "random". If it's still on random, switch to friends, then submit the team.... then log out / back in and make sure the change took (it will still show 'random' if you just switch screens and go back to check without logging out first) |

Don't mean to belabor the point, but OOTP has it wrong. Hoyt Wilhelm worked with Wood on his knuckler, and Wilbur gave Wilhelm credit for saving his career. To be sure, I found an article on SABR's website about Wood. Wood mixed in an occasional fastball or curve, but his knuckler was the classic type Wilhelm used, attempting to impart as little spin on the ball as possible. A knuckle-curve, like Hooten threw, is a different pitch, designed to spin the ball, but more slowly that a standard curve. Thrown with a fastball delivery, it was sometimes considered more difficult to master than a "normal" knuckler. OOTP needs to fix Wilbur's card.

Check This Out
I was curious about the original Our League in PT 19, so I fired it up and found this:

you can only live on the edge so long before it comes back to bite you.... the Syrups dropped the first 3 games in the LCS... then took games 4, 5 and 6 to tie it back up.... but couldn't finish the deal and lost game 7 to see their season come to an end.
on to the Silver league |

Since I was there...
Here's the final standings for the original Our League in the PT 19, S365 season as Philadelphia wins its third title, tying Port Ruppert for most championships.

Actually, that was my intention, as well as to add to the all time records, when I saw the results. I figured opening packs in 19 would help me resist doing it in 2.0. By the way, Aina Haina beat Aceldama in the Wild Card in 19. |

I think I shall do that! I have a packs only f2p team in 20. They are in Diamond miraculously, but it is really boring not being able to do anything with them, but open a pack every few days. Think I should transition them away from packs only?

Patriots (in PT 19) Win First Our League World Series Match-up
Thought I'd post these. It feels right that a pair of originals got to the first Our League World Series in PT. With so many wonderful new people joining, I know there will soon be others. See you in 2023.

Even though the Atom Smashers continued our "tradition" of losing in the first round of the playoffs, there is a bit of good news. Four Annandale Atom Smashers received Gold Gloves in S287 the past year.

I just realized my P2P team (not in this league) is in the Diamond 353. It finished 69-93 last year so have fun beating me up this week (it's the Washington Monuments, fyi).
