Also, some will be empty, for instance, if you are up to June 5th and you run it, the August page will be empty.

Nope.
At least not yet. That is one of those this year type things. If you are adventurous, you could copy the contents of an almanac over to that folder and run it, I think that will work, but winshares will not be correct. I will see about being able to do almanac seasons though. Quote:

OK, you twisted my arm enough, you kept nagging and nagging and sending me all of that e-mail, so, I finally gave in. (Just kidding of course).
Download the new EXE and copy it over. No re-index needed. Inside PLAYERS - CONVERTER. Use the pull down to select an almanac year. DO NOT select the current year from the pull down, if wanting to do current year, don't use the pull down. It should work. Now, instead of putting it in the PP folder, it appends the year onto the PP name, so, it would be the PP1965 folder. Known issue: The player links for prior seasons won't work. I will try to fix that. Gonna be a tricky one. Also, you will see better formatting of the values.. 5.50 instead of 5.5 for ERA. If any were missed, let me know. I have not tested this a lot, so let me know of any problems. It won't screw anything up anyway. Also note, last week and this week will only show the teams that made the World Series, since the rest of the team was just watching the games that week. Quote:

tried past seasons, it errors out at 99%, both times. more importantly, the last 2 exe's screwed up my LAIndex page, removing most of the links and rendering the ones that are left unusable. The pages themselves are still there, the index is broken.

A little help here.
What is the error? It has to be something with the last two files it writes, which is the JS file and the la_menu_x.html file. What do you mean it makes the LAINDEX page screwed up? Quote:

Before I installed the latest exe, I would open the output folder and there would be an html called LAIndex that allowed me to access the other html pages (top ten, hof points etc.). It had about 12-14 subjects to access. Now, it only has about 4, and when I click it tells me the page doesn't exist, even though I can access the page manually in the same folder. Does this make any sense? Half the time, I'm not sure what I;m doing with your program, but it creates such great info that I keep stumbling through it.
As for the error, I don't remember what it said. I'll try to reproduce it. |

OK, when you use the GENERATE LEAGUE REPORT from OOTP, it erases the contents of the LEAGUE SITE folder, so any reports you generated by my program will also be erased.
The laindex.html file is not 'produced', it is just copied over from the installation folder. So it has not been changed in the last two exe updates at all. It has to be ran from the LEAGUE SITE folder. As far as the other error, did you look in the folders it created? i.e. PP1955 See if there is a LA_MENU_X.HTML file and also see if there is a SORTTABLE.JS file. If not, copy those two files over from the PP folder, if it exists and it should work. I am assuming that it created the rest of the files. Let me know the exact error and I can see what is wrong. Further looking into my output, which did not error when I did a season, it looks like it did the 1st year of the sim instead of the year that I picked.
I will work on it this afternoon and see what is the problem.

OK, figured out what the laindex.html problem was. I had an old copy of that file in the zipped up exe file. You were getting that.
Anyhow, download the new EXE I just uploaded, extract the exe and html file out to the OOP1 folder. Give it a try now. I fixed the issue with the wrong year and it runs perfect here. Let me know.

Hey,
Downloaded everything that I saw to unload. Where exactly do I install the program to? I think I extracted it to the desktop because I wasn't sure where to put it. Every thing that I see as far as instructions begin, "once you install." I need to know how and where to install it. Sorry for my ignorance

Hey Larry,
when I try to do anything in the "Teams" section, I get this message.... Could not find file "C:\Gary baseball\Perdidian Baseball\1904\Retired Players\lateams.txt". Any idea why "lateams" would not be created? |

A couple questions...
Did you hit the GET CONFIGURATION button when you set it up? Have you added or deleted teams since you first started the league? Quote:

YEs, I hit the get config button. No, no new teams ever. I generated the report after the World series.

Larry, isn't this the original issue you and I addressed? We went to the Leaguesite directory and found the XXXteams file, but it wasn't called lateams and we had to rename it? Does that sound familiar?
