I grew up superstitious. I have moved away from those silly beliefs over the years. But within 24 hours of Jimmy Johnson being put in the ring of honor, Dallas gets super lucky twice. First the 2 point play, and now the Eagles just lost to the Cardinals.

Purdy sets franchise record for yards in a season. Only the 3rd QB in franchise history to do so. First to throw over 30 TDs since Jeff Garcia in 2001.

I think any questions about whether my Dolphins are legitimate contenders were answered today... Clearly, they are Super Bowl caliber - except at quarterback and on defense.

I don't understand what you're trying to say here. Purdy is the 8th QB to hold the 49ers record for passing yards in a season. It was previously held by Frankie Albert, Y.A. Tittle, John Brodie, Steve DeBerg, Joe Montana, Steve Young, and Jeff Garcia.

They are like carbon copies of the Cowboys. I don't mean position players, I mean in regard to the entire team. They jump all over poor teams and are trash playing any decent team on the road. I believe the Cowboys and Dolphins are a bit fraudulent.

It's also why it's fair to still say - despite the result on Christmas Eve - that the Dolphins have yet beat a good team

I think it will be a humongous upset if he Niners don't make the Super Bowl.

i still think, when they stop hurting themselves, the Chiefs & Bills can still be dangerous for Baltimore. But man.............., the Ravens look different.

It really does look like a Ravens/49ers super bowl this year. I have slim hope for the Cowboys now that they are the #2 seed. But beating the 49ers at home will take some luck.

Back in 1981 the Cowboys lost the regular season game in San Francisco 45-14. Lost by only 1 point in the NFC Championship game. The Catch game.

In 1992 the Cowboys opened up as 6 point dogs to the 49ers in San Fran. They got several lucky breaks to win that game.

First things first. Cowboys have to beat Washington. If I had to bet, I think I'd take Washington and the points.

I dunno. That might be a little harsh (banning for life; not the $300k fine). I mean, for a very brief moment of misbehavior that was - most-likely - irritating but not actually harmful to the fan? (There's a significant difference between launching a half-full beer can and splashing a bit of water or beer on someone; one can cause serious injury; the other, not so much...) And do we know what the fan may have said or done to provoke it? Maybe the fan was endlessly riding Tepper, and/or throwing out f-bombs. Not that those actions would excuse Tepper throwing a drink, but add'l context might matter...

We've all regretted lashing out for a brief moment due to frustration and irritation. Hopefully we're not judged too harshly for a momentary lapse...

And yes, I understand that Tepper - as a billionaire hedge-fund manager who also checks off some of the boxes that sports media types / those on
a certain socio-political side despise - is not going to be a sympathetic figure. Still, I can think of a lot worse scenarios where people should suffer expulsion-type scenarios. This does not seem, to me, to be one of them. YMMV...

I think you're reading too much into this. It didn't look to me like he was angry at any fan in particular, just the fans in general. The Jags were up all game and the fans were probably cheering all game. His reaction came right after a Bryce Young interception.

He was probably in a bad mood and frustrated over the entire situation with his team and got tired of the fans. That's it.

I know it won't happen, but I wouldn't be against him being banned from the stadium. If he acts like a drunk fan, he should be treated like one.

I don't think he was acting like a drunk fan. I think the man is an alcoholic. Every preseason game interview I've seen of him he sounded drunk.
