I'll be rooting for Spain but I believe it will be a Brazil/Germany WC again. My final 4 prediction is Brazil/Ghana and Spain/Germany |

After the USA and Spain I usually default to rooting for any Spanish team. But now I have to hope Japan wins because they should have had a penalty kick.

![]() It must have been a horrible, unentertaining game for anybody other than Japanese and Paraguayan, but that's how the games are usually in the world cup, except for a few exception. (Games that involves teams like Brazil, Spain, Holland...) It was a huge step for the Japanese side, and I am already looking forward to going to some of the J-League games!

The real sad part about the Japan loss was that a Japanese player was taken down at the top of the box and no foul was called. Should have been a penalty kick. |

Paraguay remind me of Steau Bucharest when they played Barca in the European Cup (Champions League) they start with the intent to get to penalties and win that way, a negative team that really haven't canged through the years imo. Bit like the poor mans Italy of South America.

I agree not all 0-0 games are negative games, I've seen a few good 0-0 games but that wasn't one. Haven't seen every game but the only game that was worse than that one was the Brazil v Portugal game.

Now granted the game against Japan wasn't as obvious as that game or what Argentina did in the 1990 cup, but it did look as if they were playing for the shoot out. |
