thanks and to let everyone know i did in fact get the job. as long as i pass a drug and background check which I don't anticipate on being a problem at all, i am going to be a college soccer coach running my own program, recruiting, training, etc. The past month leading up to this and even to now has been somewhat of a blur and hectic, and I don't know if it's set in yet that's this is what I'm going to be doing fulltime with my life for a long period of time. But considering it's a brand new program that I have to start from scratch there's going to be a tremendous amount of work that needs to be done over the next few months involving recruiting so that should be keeping me busy.
I actually, outside of my playing experience of course, consider cm and fm part of the reason I wanted to get into coaching one day. I clearly remember my dad yelling at me throughout my time growing up about how cm and fm was just a game and a waste of my time. Oh the irony. |

Sorry should have been Republic of Ireland were cheated, pretty much given up on football, most corrupt sport there is and they don't even hide it anymore. To be honest football isn't that far from being like the WWE.

They were cheated for sure. The swedish referrees were useless, that is about it. I'm sure that they won't participate in any more international matches for quite a while. |

The Irish have a strong case for a replay after all the French did break FIFA's number 1 golden rule.

To be fair, the French did tell the ref that it was a handball. To which the ref replied, "You're not the referee".
Don't blame this on the French players. |

If the fix was in I don't think they would have let it get to the 103rd minute in extra time to decide it.
It was just a really poor call. And really a team with the quality of France never should have let it get to that advanced of a stage where they had to win in that manner. The Irish FA and government have called for a replay. FIFA of course has said no. However they said if the French FA accepted the replay that there is a strong chance it could happen. If a replay happens I would be shocked beyond belief. |

I have a couple of questions for you guys if you dont mind answering as all these different cups are confusing to me.
I understand that most of the top soccer countries have a league structure like the English Premier League, Coca Cola 1, Coca Cola 2, etc. My question is what are these midseason cups and are they more important than winning the league championship? Also would a team like Manchester U rather win the Premier League Championship or the Euro Cup? Also why was Man U vs Real Madrid on a couple weeks ago during their countries league seasons? I find soccer interesting and enjoyed reading the threads and how much knowledge you guys have on this subject but it all seems so confusing to me. So many of you guys are so good at predicting outcomes which is great however I get confused when I am watching a 1-0 game and the announcer will be talking about how X team is dominating the game when that 1 goal was scored on some fluky play. How is being ahead 1-0 dominating a game when the 1 goal that has been scored was on a penalty kick in which the ref made a terrible decision on. I play this World Wide Soccer Manager game which I have a lot of fun with however I have no idea what my assistant coach is trying to tell me to do a lot of times. "You should try and cut off the supply to X person or we will get hurt" "You have a too wide gap between your midfielders and attackers" "This person is not used to playing this style you should play a more direct style" For what seems like is a simple game it sure is confusing

Its very possible to dominate a game with regard to possession and still only have one fluky goal. That's what the announcer is speaking of in that situation.
