That was a great story. Although, for the sake of keeping it on topic, I think you should have simmed an OOTP game and pretended it was the one you were at.

Thanks for the kind comments. I usually don't write off the top of my head like that, but coming right in the door after the game I just wanted to get it out of my system. Really was an unusual time and one, probably, that won't happen again for awhile.

And Johnny, there is no topic. It's just a lobby-like thread for those of us who are antsy waiting for the release to share some thoughts about what's going on while we fill those hours. This time, it happened to be a ballpark. I spare you all the details about toasted cheese sandwiches and watching CNN Headline News.

Again, appreciate the fact that you took notice. Sure hope today becomes mid-June. hehe.

I'm holding off playing till 6.5 comes out. The reason being is I want to start a new league from fresh anyway and I figured It would be best to start It under 6.5

Luckly I have KOTR2 to keep me busy for now.....But I'm starting to crave some ootp action.

I hope so, that'd be a good (late) birthday gift.

And 'fess up Davey, if it shows you're either going to lose a LOT of sleep playing all those games as quickly or you can or you're going to hit that SIM button, aren't you?

All right, I've been combing through the details of my league waiting in the wings for the 6.5. release trying to make sure I have everything in place. Turns out that the delight I had after hitting the restore button recently was primarily well-founded, but I've discovered one area that didn't restore and I'm not sure why: the players I filled the minor leagues with at each level have no history. Nothing there that mentions a signing from an Independent League or such. I can't remember, but I think that's what it used to say.

So...is this any big deal as far as anyone is concerned? Won't their stats, in essence, approximate the starts of their careers? It bugs me that it's incomplete, and gives even more impetus to the idea that it would be nice to have the player histories able to be edited right from the player card page, but you can't and that's that. Next step is how to react.

Is this one of those things most of you would just let go, or is there a reasonable fix with a reasonable workload?

I might sim each one to 6th or 7th and go from there. It's especially hard beacuse I picked the worst team in league history to manage, the LA Eagles of Elko (I think 5 seasons above .500 and two WS wins in 29 years of simming).

All right, it needs to be released soon. I used the New Posts function for a change and found myself in Off-Topic actually reading for awhile. If I hadn't caught myself I might have even posted. This is getting serious.

Uh oh. Once you go over to the darkside of OT, it's sometimes hard to right the ship. OT is like heroin, only with fewer needles and more pricks.
