I had a solo fantasy league a while back that had Curtis "The Rogue" Nations.
And no, I did not make that up. Was a game generated name, nickname and all. AS |

On the Des Moines Cyclones in my current league, there are two teammates with an interesing pairing.
Lindsey Spells bats 3rd and Juan "The Conjurer" Cook bats cleanup. |

In a solo league I had a Jesus DeJesus once...
However, Click this for the greatest player ever The computer created him, but we changed the location (it was originally Venezuela) and added a "Jr" to suit him better...

A couple of weeks back, Billy Beane came up as a 5-star prospect. No kidding. You can bet that if I was controlling a team (which I wasn't), I would not have trusted the five stars. Sure enough, he never amounted to anything (I actually changed his name to something else because seeing it there bothered me).

I had a player named Sandy Alomar jr. jr.
Would that make him Sandy Alomar III? I'm confused. What wasn't confusing was that he sucked. Never made it farther than AA. He was probably so depressed from the constant abuse about his name, he couldn't focus on playing ball. |

I signed a utility infielder named W. Wacker once. It took me about a week before I looked at his profile and noticed his first name was Willie. Willie Wacker? Now that was funny.

My current favorite it Wiggie Kitzz, he's the only worthwhile player on my online league team with over 15 K/9 in relief over two seasons.. and he has two Zs in his last name!

I got an outfielder named Harry Potter. Speedy, good defense, but never developed much as a hitter. Hung around for awhile for the defense and pinch running, but didn't save the world or anything.

James Gandhi - he was actually a "Great Leader."
Michael Stipe. Troy "Ugly" Butts, original nickname. And the unforgettable Bill Papadopoulos JrBill, exactly like that. Only time I've seen a text glitch like that in a player name. |
