Trade screen

"Trade screen is now accessible in online leagues without password, only the "Receiving Team"-button is protected."

Anyone else notice this? In my leagues the Offering Team button is password protected. And after testing, owners can now trade any player with team #1. However, this would probably cause their next export to fail.

I just don't see the purpose. Is it so you can see what the computer thinks the team's weaknesses are?

Thanks.

The point was the let you use the Find Player by name and Find Player by Ratings buttons.

Trading a player would cause your export to fail.

What it does do is address some big problems many people were having with the game. It's a _great_ patch if you ask me.

P.S. Thank you very much Markus.

Its a patch/update...not a new game...for a update...this is a good one, IMO. It has some new enhancements/features...as well as bug fixes...as well as tweaks to things that a number of people gave complained about.

For myself...very happy with it..

Thanks a ton Markus! The fix for the contract extensions is especially welcome. It was really getting old just barely opening negotiations, and they tell you to get lost.

thank you so much Markus, especially for the Depth Chart fix and the ability to increase your leading bid. No one else can complain about online free agency any more!!!!!!

excellent Makus, thanks for the hard work. Only had one day til the trade deadline when I installed the patch today. Did make one trade with the settings hard and nuetral and while it's only one trade it seemed very good. I actually had to work to move a 2* established starter (current record 8-7 with ERA of 3.78) and AAA mlb ready catcher to Montreal for a 20yr old catching prospect with 4*. The guys I traded are currently playing for Montreal and fill needs of the team which at the deadline is still in the wildcard race. The catcher has good overall talent ratings with a lot of room to improve in actual ratings so there is a risk that he won't make it. The pitcher I moved is pretty good but the trade makes room for a youngster in AAA to move up to the big club.

Thumbs up to this patch so far

Thought I would use my 100th post to say - Thanks a lot Markus and co. Downloading it now No surprise to see it go down a storm. Looking forward to getting stuck in with the trading options and maybe start a new game and sim it now the Depth Charts are how I like 'em.

I just went in and did some of the game tests that I had done before to show how bad the trade AI was. It looks like this patch is a HUGE step forward in that respect. With trading set to hard, the AI now expresses no interest in my 1 star, 30 year old minor leaguer.

I'm totally excited now to start up a new league! Though obviously there's lots of improvement that can still be done, these changes have the potential to make single-player OOTP fun for me again!

Much appreciated.

I'm still wondering what exactly Markus meant at the end of his post.

I'm pretty sure he meant that this is _not necessarily_ the last patch for OOTP5.

Fan fricken tastic

many things tweeked here... thank you

*Contract AI maybe a 10.5M x3 will now beat a 4M x 8?
*Can up bids even if you are high - "Leapfrog" this! (how I hated the top bid for weeks.... only to have someone "figure out" the threshold to beat....with no frickin recourse...
* 20% is 20% (1 out of 5 - guarenteed......) Statistics...lol flip a coin 99 times - they are all heads.... what is the probability of the 100th flip to be tails?
* trade menu access - YES I want to search by name/rating... at anytime.... PLEEZE

others nice tweek as well

There's a typo in the information the game shows you at the bottom of the screen when you mouse over "Trading AI Preference." Veterans is spelled as "veteras".

Other than that, everything looks great.

Great job as always Markus!!

I just referred a friend to dl OOTP2 and give it a test drive, in hopes that it will allow him to maybe get OOTP5.

He loves sim sports games, especially Hockey. I have been telling him how great this game is and how you give award winning support!

Here's hoping he will be getting OOTP5 soon.
