This is one of those things I like about you and your team. You are truthful, honest and sometimes, a little bit aggressive on every single thing that touches OOTP and all that and so much more are why I have enjoyed being a part of the OOTP family for the past 15 years.

Any chance the ability to expand a current MLB season is in? For some reason when I and others start a new game it doesn't work. I read there are workarounds but I would prefer it to just be an option for a normal MLB game as it always was.

I think this should be in.

Sorry for being a little less than definite, it's a little hard to keep track of just what's done and where when we can't do a new build.

But it looks like this is supposed to be in the next build we will do.

In my second year, the schedule was pretty screwed up. Weekend series would start on Saturday and Friday was generally a day off. The rookie league season also started in April and ended at the end of July. There was no league expansion, which I know has always messed up the schedule, and I've never .seen the rookie ball thing in all my years of playing.

Not sure what might've happened with the weekend series though. Can you look in the schedule editor and see if there's a specific schedule loaded or if it's a game-generated one?

I had someone in my league tell me that Franco and Urias have been re-added to the rosters, but when I do a search, I can't find them.


I'm on Steam, so I should have the latest patch.


Are they in the game, or not?

If the someone in your league was referring to the Standard Game with 2024 rosters then they are incorrect.

He claims they're in the game. I have closed everything out, re-loaded, started a new game, and they never show up in the search.


So, are they in certain games, have they been removed permanently, etc?

They are not in the 2024 roster set that OOTP includes in the game.

I do not know what is being used for the roster set in your online league.

I do appreciate the replies, and while I agree with you based on the searches I've done, I'm going to wait for someone from OOTP to confirm it.

OOTP is not likely going to officially comment on something like this. It is likely a requirement of their license with MLB.

It is pretty easy to look at a league and determine whether the players are there...not sure why you need more confirmation than your own eyes.

Your online league can create/edit the roster set however you/they want so if that is what you want to know about then your commissioner (and the files they provide you) are where you will get that information.

The issue is the online league is building rosters as we speak. I don't have access to those rosters. As I look at the ratings of players individually through my searches, I can see what my team looks like "on paper" before our season begins.


I'm not sure why a simple "yes" or "no" would be forbidden.

They are not going to comment on anything MLB would prefer they didn't...but also it doesn't matter. The players can be created by your commissioner if they so choose. If they are "building rosters" it doesn't sound like they are utilizing the OOTP rosters out of the box so I don't think anything in the Standard Game is actually going to give you any information.

We're an online league. We're using standard rosters, but the league has been around for years, so our rosters are different for each team rather than actual MLB rosters. In other words, I run the Tigers, and I have players from a bunch of teams on my roster through trades I've made, draft picks, FA signings, etc. He's not making up fake players, or creating anyone. So, if those guys aren't on the rosters, then they aren't. I guess the only thing I was wondering is why Trevor Bauer was treated differently, amid allegations. I'm not trying to get into a deep discussion on any of this, but I believe I was told some erroneous information, which is why my initial post was looking for clarification.

You can add them by using the "Import Historical Player" function and inputting the player code on the Baseball-Reference.com page, i.e. francwa01 or uriasju01. Players will have career status including 2023.

I can't imagine how your league, that's apparently been in existence for awhile now, could be affected by the roster decisions OOTP makes going forward. Sure, when it was first created, it probably used an OOTP-made roster set, but past that it's whatever you guys make it to be. So it doesn't make sense that you're wanting an answer from OOTP regarding something they don't have control over.

It sounds like your league simply re-added them to your league themselves, which OOTP would have nothing to do with.

I think what probably happened here is our league file was imported from OOTP 24, where those guys are on rosters, even though they no longer exist in OOTP 25 rosters moving forward.


No one is adding guys, or lying about adding guys. That's not how our league operates.

As long as we're having this lull in the patch cycle due to technical reasons I'm going to ask about a reported issue in the bug thread that as far as I can tell has not been acknowledged. IE The setup menu and options are broken on the Scout report page on under the Scouting tab on the player page.

Is there a fix for the schedules for after year one? Everything is off by a day still.
