From a Jays fans perspective, I know ratings are subjective, so I won't bitch about those (although Hendrickson is a little harsh. ), but I think Cat should have range in RF as he's our starting RF, and Escobar starting duration... as he's in the Jays rotation and was a starter before too.

Dave,
As far as cutting players - have you looked at them after you cut them? I'm in the 2023 season (Fightin Phils) My 1B is a stud, I have just drafted another 5 blue star prospect @ 1B and already have 3 good 1B in my system and one C/1B who sucks (26 y/o 1 gold star -AA minors) I put my 3 blue star 1B prospect on the trading block and cut the C/1B. No interest from any other club in the prospect, but I looked one week later and my C/1B is gone from the FA board... I check and he was signed by San Diego and is playing in thier AAA minors. Thought that was interesting -kinda leans towards realistic in my mind.
BTW, I trim the rosters every season to keep me from having 50 pitcher laden rosters in the minors. I'm hopin n prayin that the new version will include this type of work from my minors managers, this would make it so much easier for a spring training or in season assessments
1) Who to cut or trade
2) Minors Mgrs Wish list / Strength- weaknesses of team
3) Who is good prospect to learn new position
Ah, these are some of my favorite wishes for the new game!

Moore. Yeah, I usually take about an hour or so and look over all the prospects that I've got and the coaches that I've got, or that I can hire. From there, I find out that I've got a ton of one or two star prospects, normally starting pitchers. Those that I can change over to a reliever, or a closer, I'll do that. The rest, I'll just cut and hope that they don't become big. I've never thought of trying to trade them all before, I'll take that approach next time.

Gregg has Richie Lewis on Atlanta been corrected yet? He is rated a 10 for AVG against Righties and thus is a 10 overall for AVG. He is hitting .822 so far in the league that I am using as a test. Also Adam Loewen signed with Baltimore so you can actually add him to the team now.

One prospect in the draft that I would like to see rated higher is Jeff Allison, his ERA this year while in High School yes, was 0.00. He only gave up 12 hits all year and I think he only walked 6 guys, in around 50 IP, plus Baseball America ranked him as the number 5 overall draft prospect, 2nd best pitcher and that was prior to Adam Loewen signing with the Orioles thus he would have been 4th and 1st, granted he didn't get drafted until 16th by the Marlins but I would still think that he should be rated with better potentials than a 3 star prospect. Granted it may just be the scout that I am looking through right now.

Looks like it was the scout as Mike Flanagan has him a 3 star, but Dave Dombrowski (Legendary) has him at a 3.5 stars but the Dodgers think he is a 5 star.

Brewers Suggestions

OK here are a few things about the Milwaukee Brewers. You have Brooks Kieschnick as a AAA outfielder. Right now he is a relief pitcher/pinch hitter type on the Brewers' major league roster, he started the year in the same role at AAA. So he should get some kind of pitching ratings. Nothing spectacular by any means but definitely serviceable.

MR Leo Estrella doesn't appear on the roster. I'm not sure where he came from but the Brewers called him up from AAA and he's been pretty dominant and moved into a setup role. His ERA is well below 2.00, but he hasn't pitched too many innings.

Here's some general ratings observations, a little nit-picky, just some things I've done to my copy I play with:
You may want to make Single-A starter Mike Jones a tad better as he really started the year in AA and has been fairly successful this year. (2.51 ERA)

AA Outfielder Dave Krynzel has too high of a HR talent IMO. He never has hit for much power and doesn't project to either. I don't have his career stats on hand but I know he has 0 home runs so far this year in AA.

Anyway, just thought I'd add my .02

Oh yeah just an update of Richard Lewis in my test league, he is presently on an 88 game hitting streak and hitting .857 on July 28th. Glad to hear things have been fixed though.

yup, Gonzalez was fixed right away. Both were typos where a decimal point was missing.

Sorry for the delay in posting - went to WWII weekend in Reading PA. Had a great time

I have had almost no luck at trading one stars at the beginning of the season. Not to say they won't trade -just NO quality is offered. A.I seems to prefer releasing them to FA and picking ones up from there... Although I do from time to time troll FA for "fillers" at the beginning of a season and have mostly come up with junk players for the season til draft time next year. Its that I would love my Mgr's to do my trolling for me, give me the option of approving it and move on in-season.
