It's interesting that you would describe persistent but polite disagreement as a "rant." Most of what you're calling "ranting" is just me telling people that if they aren't interested in the topic of this thread, they didn't have to click on it. Maybe you're remembering a different ranting guy (NFT guy, maybe?), but I'm no ranter, as I'm sure you can see from this thread.

With a response and comment like that, it's only a matter of time before the mods close this thread. But you do you. ![]()

I am, yes. I started this thread because I love OOTP and want it to be better. I thought forums were places for discussion, not unbounded positivity. I love this game as much as anybody here and figured that there was no better place to share my sole (but significant) complaint about it. If this is a positivity-only space, I don't want to ruin that for other fans of my favorite game, but I don't believe that's the case. I'm pretty sure there are other threads on this forum for people who want to share nothing but positive feedback.

I am going to have a nice surprise for people in the (hopefully) near future. Obviously I cannot discuss it here, so it will need to be discussed elsewhere.
EDIT: That being said...I DO feel people have the right to discuss issues (OOTP related) concerning them without being mobbed by others just because they are tired of the subject. I have news for some people...this is only going to continue as more and more people come back to OOTP having not even realized what's happened. Last edited by PSUColonel; 02-23-2023 at 11:41 PM. |

I dont think it is about the company not willing to pay for the license of the league.
It is more about another Japanese company (Konami) owning the license/exclusive rights to gamify the *** content. |

However, I do want to say that it's very hard to discuss this, let alone criticize the devs(and their owners) for not "fixing" this problem when we don't know exactly what happened. And as someone who follows the game industry, it wouldn't be shocking if this was because of Konami. But again there could be other reasons. |

There is no professional Japanese league with real data in OOTP 24. If in the future we succeed in getting an official license, this will change. That's the only thing I can say about this topic.
