Dude - I'm all for people getting a chance at redemption, but if I were you I'd start up a new name and see if I could get into a "less-established" league. Build yourself a reputation from the bottom.
I mean, I'd certainly think twice before letting you into a league if I were a commish. People do get kind of involved in these leagues, and cheating obviously wrecks their integrity. That said, if you truly are repentant and are looking for another chance, I do think it's fair that you should get one at some point. However, you'd better be prepared for some heavy scrutiny of whatever moves you make. Anyway - it's just my 2 cents. Do with it what you will.

Thank you, I agree. I know I screwed up and that people should be cautious of me and my trades, I would too if I were commish, but making fun of me and sending me nasty emails isn't fair if I screwed up once.

Oh and by the way, if I were going to create a league, I definately wouldn't own a team because I think that it is not right to be a commish and own a team at the same time, plus I don't have enough time to do both. I wanted to create a league for just me to be commish, nothing else.

BUT, you have admitted your fault. When I saw that you actually replied here, I was amazed. I've NEVER seen an accused cheater come back and admit it. That takes guts. If I were running a league, I would be extremely suspicious of you, but now that you have fessed up, I would definitely give you a chance. I wouldn't completely rule out joining a league you were running either. It's refreshing to see someone be honest and admit their error. Well done. |

Thank you. I know that I should be kept an eye on. I wouldn't trust me either, but that doesn't mean that I should be banned from leagues because of a past mistake. Thank you for being able to see that.

Oh by the way, I'll put my own emails on here for anyone who wants to make sure that I don't cheat again. My screen names that I usually go by are "Messenjah" and "psycho1jau". My emails are messenjah@kiwibox.com, psycho1jau@hotmail.com, baseballfanatic123@yahoo.com, and skater181@kiwibox.com (actually this is my brother but I tried to use it once.) If you wanted to see them posted. Oh and if anyone uses Kiwibox, it is probably me too.

Nice work for facing the music. If I was commish of a league, and if that league had an opening, I'd give you a shot just for taking the shots and hanging in there.

Plus, I do have to say - it doesn't seem like you'd last too long as a cheater. That posting under the wrong handle was an astonishingly non-skilled move.

The question that I would have thought would have been inevitable yet hasn't been asked yet is, Why did you do it?

Well, my brother said that he wanted to join and I thought he really wanted to play. Than he started cheating and I started to help him. I thought it would be funny and I didn't think it would mean that much. I should have just told him to stop it. I guess I was just messing around and being stupid.

Interesting. You should definitely kick your brother's ass.
Good luck finding a league to take you in. I hope that you find one and prove yourself worthy of belonging in one. |

Do you have to be a commish to be added to the list?

good of you to stand up and admit what you've done and ask for a second chance.
most cheaters just lie and deny. good luck in your next league. |

Another cheater the community should keep an eye out for:
"Jeff McDonald" emails: MCDONALDHANEY @ aol.com ... jeffncyn @ localnet.com .... AIMS: MCDONALDHANEY ... jmac41571 .... And who knows what other names and emails and AIMS. This classy fellow ran numerous teams last season in the soon-to-be-defunct FDBL ( http://www.fdbl.ootp-leagues.com/ ). The Astros, Rockies, Mariners, Marlins and probably a few others were all under his charge at one time or another. People who would do this kind of thing do not deserve a second chance. You guys are a little too forgiving of Messenjah. If it even enters your mind to be a cheating jack-ass in the first place, then you'll probably always be a cheating jack-ass. Or at least a jack-ass. Either way, we don't want you in our leagues. |

That's the last thing I remember about our most infamous cheater. Maybe something else transpired since then... |
