So far, we've got an idea that not one of these members can be considered the next Nostradamus.

I hope its soon...

...cuz I cant play 9 anymore. It just plain stopped working and now I have no baseball game to play now. (Started a thread in the Tech Support forum, but no help yet.)

So, until X comes out or 9 gets fixed, its back to FM2k8 for me....

At this point, I'm still confident about my May 8-14 pick.

Just thought I'd bump this.
Lot's of unhappiness with the game not being released yet.
Yet more than 50% polled picked a date of May 7th or later.

Must be more IT veterans out there than I expected.
IT people release that software releases rarely (never?) happen early or on time.
There are just too many issues that arise during testing.
If we get the game in May, I'll be more than satisfied.

I think there are plenty of OOTP vets that have gone through this every year. Most of the time its released this late. Not a big deal for a such a great product IMHO

How's that confidence working out now?

This is my week. Come on, Markus! Let's turn it up a notch.

Nah, it'll be next week. I am off on vacation from work THIS week, thereby ruling out ANY possibility of a release this week. Murphy's Law states very clearly that the game will drop NEXT week, just as I have to return to work, not before.

Also, the fact that May 21st is my birthday further excludes this week as a possibility.

If this was the Price is Right, you would be the closest without going over.

Yeah, you ruined it for everybody.

Look at all these 'where's it at', 'when's it gonna be' threads? And they say there's no buzz.... It's all around us!

I would say it is more angst than buzz. Considering no one really knows how any of the new features are supposed to work, the only thing people are talking about is that the game is not out yet.

Yeah, but that's not too far removed from people in line waiting for a movie to start, or a ball game! A lot of muttering and complaining in line, but they're all - for the most part - going to wait it out and be there when it begins. Of course, in every one of those situations I've ever been in there was always at least one voice way louder than the others, either drunk or stupid, and making it more uncomfortable for everyone else who was suffering that 'angst' too. Hmmm.. It's not so different here?

No, I guess its not. That is actually a brilliant analogy.

How many people go to a movie with no advertising or release date?

How naive we all were. Looking back, I'm surprised that I was so optimistic. The truth, and what we want to believe, are two unrelated entities.

Well, I did say something, you are correct. But I also said nothing.
