I want to wait for the patch but it's 8:23PM here on the east coast and my window of playing time is short. My wife just put my 19 month old son to bed and I finally have some quiet time.

This game is so awesome, I just want to jump right in!

If you're going to convert, it's a must if the L/R ratings issue is important to you. The patch won't correct what's already done, it'll only make sure it doesn't happen upon conversion. IMHO, that's the reason this patch became a priority so soon: to enable more '8 users to get converted w/o difficulties.

I just finished the All-Star Break on a league I converted Opening Day. Waiting (waiting, waiting...) for the patch so I can re-convert and start the season over. Thankfully, I hadn't made too many major moves, so starting the season over isn't too big of a deal (waiting, waiting...)

I had converted two of my v8 leagues, but one thing that I have learned over the years is that typically we get a patch pretty quickly after launch and frequently their are conversion issues in the first build released.

so I usually spend the first couple of weeks playing around in the game and seeing everything that is new. But I don't really get "serious" about a league until we get a patch or two.

Yeah but here in New Jersey it's 9:15PM Monday night as of this post and the patch has not been released. The guys asked a legitimate question. No need to be sarcastic with the "RIF" stuff.

At this point I personally expect the patch to not be released tonight so I will be turning in pretty soon.

It's all good, though I know the fellas are working hard on the release.

Well, right now it is 9:35PM here in Jersey Monday night and there are only 2 hours and 25 minutes left in the day. So that is my definition of late Monday night.

Well maybe the "RIF" comment can be taken the wrong way...me personally the sarcasm does not bother me at all. I was just taking up for the other poster.

I hear ya buddy. I'm on vacation myself, but pop in to check things out if i get a minute. I'm as excited as the next guy to get rolling with my solo, so one more day to get a working patch is worth it's weight against playing in it's current state. The most un-fun part of it all.... i don't get home til next Sunday so for the mean time i'm going to live my OOTP experience through the eyes of others.

I know... i need help

I don't mind them taking the time to get it ready and posted, but I don't like when they say it will be out on a certain day then they neither put it out or let everyone know it won't be out that day after all.

Wait, we didn't do that this year, did we? I mean, aside from download issues, the game went out on the day we announced, and the first patch was due this weekend, but I posted publically when we realized it wouldn't be out until today.

I rather suspect that most people don't want an e-mail from us stating that the patch will be a day later than expected...

Anyway, just trying to figure out if we dropped a ball here.

Probably not. But not hearing an 'official' word since Yesterday, 06:19 PM, even to say it's going to run pretty late tonight, sure put the glove out and naturally made some wonder, including me, whether that ball would bounce or be caught. Let's call it a nice grab.
