Don't worry, I wasn't positive what it was either.

When someone asks you ...
When someone asks you about who you think will win the World Series ... and you look at them funny, then respond, "It's too early to tell" because in your solo/online league your not even through the month of May ...
... or you respond with an analysis of teams playing in your solo/online league World Series forgetting there IS a real World Series beyond OOTP that is about to begin ... ... when you skip past online sports sites like ESPN and CBSSportsline to go to your online league box scores to see who won/lost, who played well, who was injured ... and you couldn't care less about the real world of baseball ... oh, I could go on ... Good thread! There's some great ones here ... good laugh at the end of a hard day (of OOTP that is ).StorminZ |

... when you wonder what are Julio Franco's ratings at age 44 and you mentally picture the scouting report saying "Julio Franco has his best years behind him".
... when you tell whoever's around you that Francisco Rodriguez is a 10 in Strikeouts and a 9 in Avoiding Runs...

I actually do these last 2 things, believe it or not. I can't picture a guy over 41 years old playing anymore...

Hey hottrix, get used to it... happens all the time. It especially pisses me off when my all-star SS retires and I need to fill the void, and there is only one good SS available as a FA... and he "simply doesn't like my organization"

oh, i know this isn't an isolated incident...it's just that I'm a HUGE A's fan and i love watching Zito buckle guys with his hook. so the point was that when the player who doesn't like your organization is not only good, but one of your real favorite players on your real favorite team, then i can't help but take it personally. now...i must admit...i'm leaning towards Mulder as my favorite A's ace rather than Zito. in other words...i have attributed the stubborness of the sim-Zito to the real-Zito, in which case i harbor ill-will towards the real-Zito, just as i do the sim-Zito. it makes cheering for the real-A's more difficult.

For me, I don't have problems with my solo league cause I use ficitional players. But it still ticks me off when they just don't like my organization. Too bad there's no "Throw at the batter" option in the game. |
