I'd say 6k in 6ip. 3ER and around 8 baserunners.

2 ER before his first out. Welcome to the big leagues Timmy. A couple k's is a nice way to recover though.

Anyone else laugh hysterically when ESPN did a huge intro about Barry Bonds only for the first words to come out of John Miller's mouth was that Barry would not be playing?

It doesn't matter if he's playing or not; they are still blabbing about Bonds anyway. The whole point of this game being on ESPN is so we can talk about the contoversy with Bonds, the race issue, and all things not related to the actual game.

It was in the Saturday recap on ESPN that he wasn't going to be playing the next day.

Lincecum goes 4.1 IP, 5 H, 5 R, 5 BB, 5 K's. I'll give him a 5 on a scale of ten.

I hope his second start goes as well as Philip Hughes did without the lengthy DL visit.

Interesting night and 13 runs between the two teams. 14 K's from the two pitching prodigies in 11.1 but 10 runs surrendered. It's gonna be a pleasure watching these two fellas.

I think AAA hitters can all breathe a sigh of relief that they won't ever have to see Lincecum again.

I take this back. He might already be better than Cain.

It's rare when the best pitcher in the AL, Johan Santana, and the best pitcher in the NL, Roy Oswalt, both get outdueled on the same day. Lincecum is a mutha'. Could be a huge part of a Giants run for the division title. 7 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 BB, 10 K's, dayam this kid is good!

Scary part is that he's only 22 and the Giants, the oldest team in MLB history, are gonna have to resist the great temptation to put too many innings on that young, golden arm.

Yeah, the nice thing is that Bruce Bochy at least has a pretty good reputation for not abusing his youngsters, that 110 pitch start notwithstanding. I imagine he'll be pretty good about respecting a 100 pitch limit for the remainder of the season. Tim's also 23 and has a reputation for being rubber-armed, so not quite as big a risk - it's Cain's arm I'm worried about. He threw a ton of pitches last year under Flippy and is still averaging over a 100 this year, I hope he holds up.

Tim's last two starts have been incredible. 14 IP, 7 H, 0 R, 4 BB, 20 K's.

He struggled for about two-three weeks after that early success, but looks abso****inglutely dominate right now. Good times to be a Giants fan with Lincecum wheeling and Bonds steaming toward the HR record.

If a Rangers fan depended on pennants for enjoyment, we'd have sailed ship long ago. Attendance is actually up quite a bit this year despite the struggles.

Lincecum pitched a masterpiece last night----8 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 8 K's---and has allowed just 4 runs in his last five starts covering 34.1 innings. During that span he's given up only 19 hits and 13 BB whilst whiffing 41 batters. Overall, he 5-2, 3.96 for the year.

Lincecum with another fine outing, 6 IP, 6 H, 2 R, 2 BB, 5 K's in the Giants win yesterday over the Braves. He wins his fourth straight decision. Now 6-2, 3.90 for the season.

Talk about tough. Great outing and his ERA dips by only .06.

4-0 with a 1.62 ERA (lowest in the NL) and 38 strikeouts (highest in the NL) for the month of July. I fully expect 5-0 Ted Lilly to take the Pitcher of the Month though.
