Santana is a beast. In MLB 2006: The Show, he is the only pitcher I face in my career as a slugging 1st baseman that routinely make me look foolish at the plate.

Nah, they leave that to the Orioles. End of season numbers need to include guys that are called up for injuries and in September.

I actually know the answer to that. I remember it being posted in a twins blog last summer and being stunned. The one, the only, CHUCK KNOBLAUCH... 1996

Wow. He looked really good. That's a shame. I suppose the people who run the team know whats best for him though(hopefully)

Considering he had Tommy John surgery, they don't have much of a choice.

Thats who I meant. I was saying i hope they know what they are doing in sending Garza to AAA.

I agree with their decision; if we can get a decent season from Ponson and Ortiz, I'm happy waiting a year on Garza. I just don't think BOTH Ponson and Ortiz are going to stick around very long.

If (BIG IF) Ponson or Ortiz have anything left, they won't have it for long. Give them a go, if they don't have it, we have Garza to fall back on.

What if Garza isn't quite ready and we've already given up on Ponson or Ortiz?

Well said and I have heard this is the exact reason garza was sent down.
