Big improvements, Markus. Thanks.
Still lots to do, but things like this are significant for those who spend a lot of time playing out games.

Wondering what the new webcast screen looks like with runners on base -- that's where the huge display problems were previously.
But I'm very, very encouraged after my repeated banging on the drum about this flaw that I can start banging the drum in favor of OOTP 2006 in solo play. If only that pbp box could be customized or be made larger to show the entire play -- you know, the same user battle we had until it was finally fixed in OOTP 6.5. One thought that might be a quick fix, but an ugly way to read the pbp, is to get rid of all the word wrap...many lines of text take three or four words, new paragraph, then another three or four words...really chews up a lot of space and just doesn't fit the box. I'm one who wants immediate, full display of the pbp and don't wait for line by line to display. That's why I really want to see the whole thing at once...How ugly and how hard to get rid of word wrap and make it fit in the existing space that you've allocated???? (Some consumers are never pleased

looks good - i also echo the comments asking for last year's stats
i think having today's stats, followed by season, last year, then the home/road, month splits might make more sense than it's displayed today |

I liked it better with the truncated logos.

The whole truncated logo design feature is one of the most baffling things I have ever seen in a computer game design. The fact that Markus was able to fix it makes me wonder why he didn't just code it correctly the first time. I wonder if the Duffy factor was at work there since he tends posts in strange truncated ways.
![]() Either way, I am happy to see that it has been done and remain more optimistic that we might actually play this version a few degrees closer to the way it was envisioned before the end of the MLB season. With the NFL and college football looming it is going to be hard to stay focused on OOTP. These types of little fixes that add to the overall atmosphere of the game sure go a long way towards acheiving that in my book. -Cork55 |

Markus,
Any chance you can lower the pitcher and batter picture areas to make use of the space on the bottom left portion of the game screen? Doing this would allow you to unsqueeze the lineup text a bit more. It looks like there is about half an inch to work with down in the lower left corner. Just a thought. -Cork55 |

But in an ideal world we'd get an option in the Game Setup screen (Logos - truncated/non-truncated). Just an idea.... |

Truncated logos.
Never before have so many made so much out of so little. Sheesh.
