ive also begun working on a non-current *** facepack, basically just adding what i can find, not any particular year or anything. id be happy to include what extras i have in the version thats almost complete.
thats excellent. By the way, where did you find a list of all the coaches? I can only find the managers, but nothing else. I'd like to make this as in depth as possible

yep. once i get the players finished, ill do the coaches. those will be done by the weekend i think (and will include farm team coaches). im about 90% done with the facepack itself, maybe by tomorrow nite?

edit: duh, didnt see that you asked where i found the list; its a japanese site:
http://www.sponichi.co.jp/baseball/n...kan/index.html

i have some patient japanese friends that are helping w/translation in places i cant cross-reference. i think there's another site thats rather similar but its japanese as well, and some of the team pages have staff listings. not much in the way of english sites unfortunately...

I'm pretty much done and ready to upload this file for download. But I was wondering about the nigun (minor league) logos. They are nowhere to be found on the internet, but Halos17 created some himself based on the teams mascot...

I know they aren't real, but would you rather them than the generic game generated logos?

Remember, this is for the minor leagues only

All but two of the ni-gun squads have the same name as their parents.

The Shonen Searex (Yokohama's farm team) has a webpage:

http://www.baystars.co.jp/searex/realtime/index.php

with some logo examples here:

http://www.baystars.co.jp/searex/community/download.php

The other team is Surpass Kobe (farm club of the Orix Buffaloes). Can't find their web page, but one of their flags is here:

http://homepage2.nifty.com/rbc/flagorixbluewave.htm

As for the other clubs, I'm pretty sure that their logo is exactly the same as the parent club logo.

ill be done with the coaches by the end of the week and that should complete the 2006 *** facepack. i already sent the first version to Drays (w/o coaches) and once i get this done, ill be able to post the finished version.

at this point, i think i have an additional 200+ historical japanese players as well, im just getting those photoshopped right now.

and last but not least, im working on a spreadsheet that will allow anyone interested in simming an *** history to do so relatively accurately, in terms of setting, teams, parks, etc. sans real-life players of course (thats a much longer project)

Seibu sold the rights of their farm team's name to Invoice, although they're the "Invoice Lions" so I'm not sure if they actually have a different logo. I'd imagine Invoice wanted their name on the logo somehow, though.

Try this site I just ran across. I have been researching the Ni-gun triple A league for the ***.

http://www.baywell.ne.jp/users/drlat...ors/minors.htm

It has ballpark names etc and a history. I am trying to find additional info.

Latham's site is great but it stops around 2002 i think; good for history though. Ni-gun info is woefully hard to find in english, even the sites ive run across in japanese have little stats. however, i have managed to find their ballpark info. hang tight, ill have that spreadsheet up this weekend.

btw, aside from the invoice lions, there's also the shonan searex (parent: yokohama baystars) and surpass kobe (parent: orix buffaloes). all other ni-gun teams share same nickname as well as having exactly the same uniforms.

i dont have a great logo for the searex, more of a banner with that "ballpark script" better than nothing though...

Is there any word on releasing the updated version of this roster? Also, will it be possible to release this as a stand-alone league and as part of a universe combined with the Cubby MLB/AAA rosters?

Did the photopack ever get posted anywhere? I got into the game late this year, and I just started working on one, only to find this thread.

I'll try to get a Lahman-style database made sometime in the next few days. Note that there are no fielding stats (PO, A, etc.) available in any electronic form before around 1995, so fielding stats before then may be messed up.
Did this database ever get completed?
