August recap - Division leaders:

Lager League - Pilsner Division: Tree House Tornado - an impressive 20-9 month of August has Tree House on top of the division with a 4.5 game lead. Veteran first baseman Brian Castelluccio is having a career year, with 14 home runs, 75 RBIs and a .322 average. On the mound, the trio of starters Joe Dietz (10-6, 3.14 ERA), Aaron Taylor (13-4, 2.95 ERA), and Oscar Lopez (14-4, 3.51 ERA) are providing a solid 1-2-3 punch to keep opponents off balance.

Lager League - Kolsch Division: Goose Island Goslings - despite a lackluster month (14-14), Goose Island finds themselves on top of the division with a slim 1 game cushion. Starter Johnathan Wallace, now in his 3rd season in the league with the Goslings, has settled into the ace role with a 10-4 record and 2.57 ERA.

Lager League - Helles Division: Waikiki Jalapeno Mouth - At 64-62 for the year, Waikiki is thankful they are in a division that no one seems to want to win. They have an impressive team batting average (.286, ranked 1st) and on base percentage (.345, ranked 2nd), and just need the pitching and defense to step up to pick up the needed wins to stay on top.

Lager League - Tripel Division: Meadowlark Magic Hobo Monkeys - maybe the name change is what they eneded, as Meadowlark is running away with the Tripel division at 77-47 and a 17 game lead heading in to September. Rookie starter Jeff Cowan appears to be the good luck charm, with a 15-2 record a 2.82 ERA; while right fielder Dave Miller is powering the offense with 29 home runs, 91 RBIs and a .311 average

Stout League - Porter Division: Terrapin Hopsecutioner - after a couple of down seasons, Terrapin is back in familiar territory atop the division with a 1.5 game lead. The heart of the offense is powered by first baseman Andrew Jennings (10 home runs, 63 RBIs, and a .305 average), left fielder Jamie Asplund (10 home runs, 70 RBIs, .333 average), and designated hitter Jose Carrasco (5 home runs, 53 RBIs, .324 average).

Stout League - Dunkel Division: Chafunkta Kingfish - heading into the final full month of the season, Chafunkta fans are becoming more hopeful that their club can maintain its hold on the division and claim their first ever division crown. First baseman Brad Eberly is doing his part, and will set career marks in home runs, RBIs and average on his current pace (36 home runs (37 career), 122 RBIs (already most in career), and .371 average (already highest).

Stout League - Eisbock Division: Russian River Bling Pig - A 7 game winning streak to end the month of August has Russian River atop the standings with a 6.5 game lead. A balanced approach has them taking care of business as they usually do, with offensive and defensive rankings between 2nd and 7th across the board.

Stout League - Altbier Division: Odious Cellars Rubied Perspective - a red hot 21-8 month of August has Odious Cellars in a position they've never been in at the end of a season... atop the division. Desginated hitter Abel Lambert rode a 22 game hitting streak during the month, boosting his season average to .327 to go along with his 17 home runs, and 87 RBIs.

Rodriguez announces retirement

veteran starter Bobby Rodriguez of the Chafunkta Kingfish has announced he will retire at the end of this season. Starting his career with Toboggan Lunatic Fridge, Rodriguez would have his biggest success with Weyerbacher, going 59-11 in a three year span. He would move on to pitch for Horsefly, Funky Buddha, Sierra Nevada, and Chafunkta in his career. He was a member of two Beer League championship teams (Weyerbacher in 2022; Horsefly in 2026); and is the all time league leader in wins (187), complete games (29) shutouts (18) and innings pitched (2412)
