I'd say at most 100-200 would have been fighting more than likely even less than that ammount, trust me I've been involved in football violence and this thousands of people go fighting at football matches is just a myth. When there is any fighting at football matches which occur less than what people would have believe you get 20-30 people fighting not thousands or even hundreds.
That's still newsworthy, though. A riot is a riot.

I would hardly call it a riot, sure the media called it a riot but they blow everything out of proportion, I read the police arrested 5 people, they arrest more than that on a Friday night at chucking out time. I've watched clips of this so called riot and all it was, was a few hundred people watching with a few people gobbing off and a handfull fighting. Take away the football fact of it and all the people watching and this wouldn't have even made any page of the national media, like I said some other unlucky begger will have been stabbed somewhere in England last night but didn't make the headlines.

Riot don't think so

I'm kind of deriving a twisted sense of pleasure out of watching Maradonna run Argentina into the ground. The man has always been somewhat of an a$$hat and other than being Argentina's greatest player, I never got what qualified him to run a national team. Just as Michael Jordan and Ted Williams proved, being a great player does not qualify you as a great coach and leader.

Totally agree, most of the top managers/coaches have been average players, some haven't even played at the top level of football. Top of my head Brian Clough springs to mind, scored something like a goal a game before a career ending injury then became one of the great managers of all time but not many spring to mind.

Liverpool fans please explain to me why a vast majority of you consider Rafa a God, his record is just about as good as Houllier's (who was pretty much sacked), the European Cup winning team contained 7 players who played in Houlliers last game in charge and 9 who were already there when Rafa took charge, only Alonso and Garcia were brought in by Rafa. Reason I ask is I work with a few Liverpool fans and they always look at me as though I'm crazy when I say Liverpool will never win the league with him in charge.

Great win for Forest this past weekend in the Championship over eternal rivals Derby - first one in SIX years for the Reds. Also the first home win of the season.

And we put Boro out of the Carling Cup with a 2-1 win too. Need better form at home if we're going to have any hope of avoiding another relegation battle.

I thought that story was from The Onion. Even after it gets reduced to 1 transfer window, it is a severe penalty.

Lukas Podolski is the greatest mystery in football to me. At the international level he scores at will. But at the club level he hardly ever got playing time.
Now he is transfered to a team who should probably be the 2 Bundesliga.

I would not be suprised to see him transfer again in January. Koln look completly overmatched already.
It would be nice to see him transfered to a mid level EPL club. I think he has amazing talent that could be unleashed if he was given playing time and some decent players around him.

Emanuel Adebayor is a complete idiot. He stepped on Van Persies face on purpose; tried to hurt Fabergas and incited the Arsenal fans.

Seven points clear after 10 games. This is looking to be a good season for Oxford.
