Thanks. I have to pretty it up and add the links to the player and box score.

It only shows the first letter of his name though, because that is the way it is shown in the box score. I may be able to change it to his whole name though. I like how it shows what pitcher it was off, the inning and even shows BOTH hrs or more, if he hit more than 1.

This is the download for it. A large download.

It shows Win98, but that includes SE.
FYI, there's a more recent version than the one you pointed to:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

I'm pretty sure the main difference is security fixes, but still...probably a good idea to keep up-to-date.

Here is something I am working on for my Utility program.

http://www.sim2005.com/cal2.html

This is just a early peek, I know the days of the weeks are not right yet, but it is reading in the schedule correctly, so I just have to get the calendar lined up.

This is also a template, so you could go in and change colors if you wanted to.

Once I get this part down, it will generate a team schedule for each team, then maybe look into putting the results in for the games played already.

Then look into a league schedule showing all the games...

What's your thoughts? If you can show me an example calendar, I may be able to reproduce it.

Here is an updated version.

http://www.sim2005.com/cal8.html

Looks like am able to create the team calendars with no problem.

Right now it creates just one team, but now that that works, I can have it generate the other teams. It will create 12 files for each team.

LA_Boston_January.html
LA_Boston_Febuary.html
etc.

Each page will have a NEXT MONTH and PREVIOUS month and a pull down to select another team.

With everything you have done with this program, you are either a god or a guy with waaaaaaay too much time on his hands. I will give you the benefit of the doubt and construct an altar.

Way too much time.

Maybe someone with a small company will want some custom program written and he will look me up.

I could not figure out why my calendar was now working the way that I expected it to. Then I figured it out.

When OOTP generates a schedule, it does not use a real calendar based on the year.

Anotherwords, January 1st, 2000 was a Saturday, but in OOTP, it is a Sunday. January 1st in any year is a Sunday. Well, that's ok I guess, dumb, but OK. I can work with it, but now I see there is a way to change what the first day of the year is.

Jeepers...

Ok, hours of downloading later (dial up!) and finally I get to try the AU... man, that is really a good addition Larry! Better you spend all your time here rather than WIS

Now this schedule addition your working on would be a great add on as well. I downloaded a 1997 (with Interleague) from this site and have been modifying it to mix up the Interleague each year, time consuming to do for me although I realize the 2 pro's on this site that do these schedules all the time probably have a much faster way of doing it... just don't wanna bug em and be a pest.

When you generate a schedule in ootp it asks what day the year starts on. I've never checked but maybe it just doesn't roll over to any other day when another year starts unless you specify.

Exactly, which is sort of silly, why not use the actual day of the week as default and let you change it if you want. Instead, they have April 1st as being a Sunday, no matter what year.

I guess it is trivial. but I just wish I had seen it before I wrote the routine to pull the date out.

So, no biggie, I will just rewrite that part that fills the calendar.

At the same time, I am going to add a check mark (Show logos), so, if you have logos, it will show the teams logo that they are playing. I may even search the played files and show the games already played. (Like in the OOTP schedule).

That is, unless of course a super model visits me this weekend and keeps me busy.

It does this so you can make the days of the week line up to the proper date. OOTP does not recognize leap years; this means that after awhile the days of the week no longer line up to the proper date for a given year.

This isn't an issue if you don't care that Oct. 7, 2005 might be a Tuesday or Sunday in the game when in reality it should be a Friday. But if you do care, then you need to adjust the day in the Year Starts On value to bring the days and dates back into line.

There was a little text file posted in the Mods forum some time ago which listed what Year Starts On value to use for each calendar year from 1860 to 2080, or thereabouts.

Well, I guess you're going to get the routine re-written then, eh?

Well, Yeah, but I am always hoping.

Rewriting the routine, I decided to go ahead and have it create a HTML page for each month, even January, February, etc., for those wackos that want to start their season in January, but also, it could be used in an online league. They could load it into a HTML editor and put in key dates (Start of spring training, Draft Day, Larry's birthday, etc.)

This early version is not going to include games already played (the results), but that may come later on.

Getting a brainfreeze (it's officially a word now) flashback from a slurpee I drank too fast about 2 months ago, so I am going to take a break and watch Robots again and wait for my supermodel(s).

I'm going to set the over-under at 99 for the amount of times you watch Robots before a supermodel shows up.

And I'm going to take the over.

Well, since it is a rental, I will win that bet!

I was at a hotel last weekend where there was a supermodel convention. All night long there was a supermodel pounding on my door. So, I finally had to get out of bed and let her out.

Working on the calendar part now.

It is actually going very well. I wrote a routine for each month, Jan, Feb, etc., but the 1st three months had no games scheduled.

Then April came up with some games. Modified the other months routine and created the April routine and it worked almost flawlessly. I say almost. It generated a nice calendar showing all games for the team I selected (hard coded), except for 1 game. I can't figure that one out yet. So, anyhow, I moved on and modified the routine to do all the teams.

It worked perfect. So, now I go back and copy this new routine over the 1st three months routine, in case someone schedules a game during that time. Duplicate this routine, modifying for each month (number of days) and then it is done.

I have it creating an HTML page for each month for each time.. i.e. LA6_CAL4.html is team 6's April schedule. April will have links back to March and forward to May and also a pull down to select any team.

With a 24 team league, that would be 288 calendars, so, more and likely I create a folder called Calendar under the league site folder and put them in there.

The template cal.htm can be modified (change colors, etc.). I came up with a way to do it, I have the cal.htm file numbered x1x for the top left square, then x2x, etc. I also have a1a, a2a, etc. for each square. My program replaces the x2x with the date for that square and replaces the a2a with the game (Boston or at Boston). So this way, you can modify the cal.htm file to change the background color, or fonts or even put in your logos and as long as you leave the x1x and a1a numbers intact, it will work.

Check this out... when making the calendar, it checks to see if the logos are present.. if they are.. wala...

http://www.sim2005.com/calendar/LA_14_cal4.html

NOTE: The test league I am working with did not have logos, so they do not match the teams on this page, but the routine does work.

Tough routine to write, but shaping up pretty good.

The supermodels had to cancel at the last minute, so I finished the routine. Now just have to tweak it, double check it to make sure the data is correct.

http://www.sim2005.com/calendar/LA_Team_Schedule.html

This is a complete schedule generated from my program. It has a main menu and then a listing for every team. It is checking for the logos in the league site folder now, but I think I will change that to check the .lg/logos folder. I have to double check to see if the logos are automatically copied over to that folder.

Tell me what you think. Of course, the 1st three months are empty here, as there are no games scheduled.

Calendar looks good!

If you click on April-Scranton it shows the "at Phoenix" above the logo on the 18th but on the 19th it is next to it... several other places this happens, why is that? (just wondering)

Will it be easy to program for each season? Example, say you want to use Interleague... one year NL West against AL Central, next year NL West against NL East, etc. will it be possible to generate a calendar to do this easily?
