June recap - Division leaders:

Lager League - Pilsner Division: Weyerbacher Blithering Idiot - a solid 17-9 month of June has the Blithering Idiot in front with a 7 game lead. Starter Danny Ibarra has already matched his career high in wins with 10. The team overall is humming along with the top ranked offense (1st in runs scored at 421) and 3rd ranked in runs against with 309.

Lager League - Kolsch Division: Goose Island Goslings - after a dismal start in April (8-15), Goose Island has done a complete 180, going 19-9 in May and 20-5 in June to take control of the division with an 11 game lead (largest lead in the league). Rookie starter Jonathan Wallace (7-3, 2.16 ERA) has already settled in to the ace role, and veteran starter turned closer Amine Brisset (27 saves, 1.61 ERA) is providing a solid hammer at the end, as the Goslings look for their first ever division crown.

Lager League - Helles Division: Big Sky Trout Slayer - in the tightest division in the league (6 games separate first from last), Big Sky holds down the top spot, but by a mere 1 game. A current 4 game losing streak has them on the verge of slipping back a spot. If the team can get a lead into the final innings, closer Danny Villarreal (19 saves, 1.98 ERA) is doing his part to finish it off.

Lager League - Tripel Division: Texas Leaguer Chin Music - despite a mediocre month of June (13-13), Texas Leaguer still holds down the top spot in the division, as the other four teams are at .500 or below. Left fielder Jim Nyseth (7 home runs, 47 RBIs, .312 average) and center fielder Danny Amador (9 home runs, 45 RBIs, .297 average) are doing the heavy lifting for the offense; as six of the other regulars are only batting .230 or lower.

Stout League - Porter Division: Crooked Crab Furious George - even though they have a BCS title in their resume, Crooked Crab has yet to win the division (they were a wild card team that finished 3rd in the division during their championship run); so fans are extra pumped this season to see their club atop the standings with a 5 game lead. Catcher Roberto Garcia, while only appearing in half of the team's games so far this season, is batting an impressive .390 to this point (50 points higher than any single season best in his 10 year career).

Stout League - Dunkel Division: Jester King Das Wunderkind - a six game losing streak has Jester King perilously close to dropping from the top, as their division lead is a razor thin half game. While they have a top notch offense (top ranked in runs scored at 447), they also give up runs at a tremendous rate (16th ranked in runs against at 366).

Stout League - Eisbock Division: Russian River Blind Pig - seeking their second BCS title, the Blind Pig are powering their way through the league this season (top ranked in home runs with 101). Slugger Rico Mendieta is leading the club in that category with 26 round trippers already. He currently has 344 career home runs, ranking second just 1 blast behind Pablo Landeros.

Stout League - Altbier Division: Toboggan Lunatic Fridge - a solid 20-7 month, and a 9 game winning streak has Toboggan atop the division with a 10.5 game lead. Veteran starter and all-time wins leader (164) Bobby Rodriguez is performing as expected with a 9-1 record and 3.40 ERA. The team offense is humming along as well, with the top rank in batting average (.295), on base percentage (.358), OPS (.783), batting WAR (19.2), wOBA (.344), and base running (+16.9).
