Belated Bronze
There being no response, I did the best I could with the tiny logo I snipped from the screen. Congratulations.

First Look at OLS314
While there have been months where a team played all of its games in OL, I think Everett is the first team that's ever started its season with nothing but OL games.

Perfect league update:
Kaneohe starts off red hot in April to take the OL lead, with Aina Haina and Washington in close pursuit. |

A non OL team put 26 runs on my Boogie Knights yesterday. Enough to make me log out and go the beach. It’s the first time I can recall having not one but two non pitchers take the mound in a game.
Keith Hernandez threw a scoreless 9th. Either he was effective or we just tired them out. I feel like the TB Buccaneers first head coach John Mcvay when asked about his teams execution “I’m for it” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Hmm, Victoria has gone from back-to-back Perfect Series appearances to being a bottom fisher. Small sample size or are we on the relegation path? I'll stay tuned.
Funny to hear about Keith Hernandez pitching a gem. I've been throwing in Bronze relievers on some of my teams as I try to raise points from Mission sales. Of course they pitch to near-zero ERAs and outperform the regular guys. |

Maybe we're just not cut out for Perfect. 89 Tom Seaver absolutely dominates for Amarillo, so I picked him up for the Redlegs and he got smashed.
At least 96 OVR Johnny Vander Meer (who I specifically grabbed after we won promotion) is doing well. But it's tough when the staff ace, 96 OVR Roger Clemens, has an astronomical ERA and FIP. I know, small sample size, but it sucks. Finally, I spent almost all my balance on the card I really wanted - 97 OVR Dolf Luque. I've wanted this one since it came out. With him, Clemens and Vander Meer as the Top 3 on my staff, I should be in good shape. Should.

One of the biggest differences in the lower levels and perfect league, I think, is quality of starting pitching. Teams can be successful with the right silver and bronze hitters in key roles, but the only gold pitcher who can really come close to holding their own in perfect league is Maddux (89).

Yes, it is. I don't believe the Lagers have them friended, but I will check when I get home.

You can definitely find good pitchers 96-99 which are "reasonable" at 40-50k. But basically, aside from CC Sabathia and maaaybe Eddie Plank, it's crazy how 90-94 pitchers are consistently much worse than 95-99. The gap between 90-94 and 95-99 is about as wide as it is between 80-89 and 90-94. In fact, with the exception of the *absolute* top end, 100 rated pitchers are not much better than those more expensive 96-99 pitchers.
