Run another test to check if the problem with the initial draft was corrected. The players team in real life is always listed in our transaction history...

Small bug when player is selected for all star game and then gets promoted/demoted
Hi,
Found a very small bug or oddity with respect to player moves and all star games. One of my players who was chosen for the all star team of a minor league team, was promoted. As a result, he was in the box score for the all star game (A level) and box score of the (AA level) game he participated in. The obvious bug being he cant be at 2 places at once. I assume this is a bug for any player who is chosen for an all star team, but between being named to the all star team and actually playing, if hes demoted or promoted he will end up playing in his new teams regular season game and the all star game simultaneously. Thanks |

Small Typo
The abbreviation for the Pacific Conference of the PCL is defaulted to 'AC' instead of 'PC'. I noticed this after going through the League Setup after starting a 2012 MLB league.

In my case, I disabled the Post-Season Roster Rules at the Association level, and was able to resume simming.

So I recently imported my v12 file into v13 and started simming tonight. Well I was looking around at some box scores and no one has any strikeouts. I have checked about 25 box scores and there isn't one at all.
Could this be an issue on my end(a setting got changed in import) or a presumed bug? Thanks!

Real Lineups Not Used After Import to OOTP13.
I imported my OOTP12 1957 replay season into OOTP13. This season has real lineups. I did real-time simulation for Sept 4th, 1957, but when I checked the box scores afterward for one of the games (Orioles vs Senators), the lineups were not the real lineups used. Never had this problem in OOTP12. In looking at the Options, the real lineups checkbox is checked.

Crash to Desktop
I simmed several hundred seasons with this universe with Friday's release, and had no problems. Starting with Monday's patch, it takes a C++ exception and crashes every few seasons. There's no real pattern to the dates. December 31st one time, but April 29th the next. It's crashed 6 times for me today.
Files are uploaded as IL 2.lg.rar --Just read about the memory leak. Seems like a likely culprit, as it's a large league, so I stopped my file upload. I'll try simming with simple dialogue. Last edited by ike121212; 04-10-2012 at 02:09 AM. |

fyi in addons central after you download something, you have the option to open the download target folder, but when you do that it incorrectly opens the target folder's *parent* folder that has 27 sub-directories and is confusing.

i just tested this again and it works fine the open downloads folder takes u to the downloads folder in the add-on folder and the target folder opens correctly the 27 sub-dir that u see is because the file u downloaded has a target of $custdata which means it installs to the \Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 13 the mods that go there are archived with subfolderes in side the archive by that i mean the logos that have a target of $custdata will be archived with a subfolder called logos in it with the logos inside it and is will install to the \Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 13 and will merge with the logos folder that is why u see the \Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 13 folder with the 27 sub-dirs there if u open the target of the continenteal league team logos it takes u to \Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 13\saved_games\1950 historic league .lg\news\html\images\team_logos as thats where the logos will be installed to

I Just started the 2013 season with the Nats and in the Owner information section and financial it shows nothing for owner. But yet at the start of the season I received an message with owner expectation for the season.
Not sure if this is where I needed to post this or not. |

A few small things that might be bugs/inconsistencies or might just be a lack of understanding on my part....
1) In the MLB Quickstart the Royals players stats for past years use the team abbreviation KCA, while the current year uses KC (which I would assume is the normal/correct abbreviation). Not sure why KCA is used. 2) On the screen that shows the scouting history for your entire team (changes between the last scouting report and the current report)...the report includes the the players stars from the last report and the updated stars for the most recent report. However, the "current stars" does not always match what appears in the player profile page. Example: For Eric Hosmer it might show the old report giving him 2 stars, with an updated report giving him 2.5 stars. But when I look at Hosmer's player page, he only shows 2 stars. There were a few more egregious examples where the difference was much more than half a star. Not sure if I am misunderstanding the reports or if this is a minor bug. |

Pinch hitting
In previous versions there was one MAJOR bug that still seems to be present in version 13: Pinch hitters are absolutely inept. I have played out one month of the season managing the Cardinals and my pinch hitters are 0 for 22 with 2 BB and 13 K's. Short sample size perhaps but still.
Let me first explain how I play the game: 1. I always use the major league quickstart. 2. I use default settings. 3. I play out all my games. 4. I use the warm-up rule (for relievers) Over the past 2 versions (11 & 12) of the game I have played out at least half a dozen NL seasons like this and I have had this problem every single time. I have seen threads before where people complained about pinch hitting but only fleetingly and without examples or screenshots (Although offcourse it is entirely possible that there have been threads like this and I missed them) Below you'll find an example of my pinch hitting woes. This is from version 11 managing the Braves in the MLB quickstart. When you add it all up that's 22 for 191 with 13 BB and 71 K's. Combined they produced the following batting line: .115 AVG, .164 OBP, .178 SLG. That's an .342 OPS. (Omar Infante is by the way by far the best pinch hitter I have ever seen in the game.) At the same time my pitchers went 58 for 327 with 24 BB and 97 SO. Combined they produced the following batting line: .177 AVG, .234 OBP, .229 SLG. That's an .463 OPS. This is just one example but this happens every single time I play out a season. This performance of the pich hitters is clearly completely unrealistic, they're even being outhit by my pitchers by a mile. This of course is ruining the immersion factor. Every time I pinch hit for a pitcher I expect them to fail and they ussualy do. (at least they are consistent). It's gotten to the point where I use an unrealistic amount of double switches to avoid having to use pinch hitters (without knowing if this actually helps). Do players who play the game just like me have simmilar experiences? Do player who play the game differently have different experiences? One theory I have is it might be caused by the warm-up rule. Could it be that the game considers all players, and not just pitchers, entering the game to be cold therefor hurting their performance? AI pinch hitters seem to be performing normally. At least that is my impression. Do players who play the game the same way as myself but do not use the warm-up rule have normal performances from their pinch hitters? Major League Contracts
Hey,
Not sure if this is an actual issue or if this is how the game is designed, but in a league with fictional players, but MLB format, 16 or 17 year old international players are asking for million dollar contracts and to be on the 40 man roster. I know many international players receive million dollar contracts, but I don't think they are supposed to be on the 40 man roster. Let me know if this issue has been brought up before or if this should be fixed. Thanks! Scott |

Two minor things that may have already been reported.
1. Selecting "All Transactions" from the League Menu takes you to the "Major Transactions" screen. The only way to get to the All Transactions screen is from the Select League Report dropdown menu inside the League Reports screen. 2. If "Show Leaderboards" is checked from within the Standings screen, the column headings become compressed. Changing "Last 10" to "L10" and "Magic#" to "M#" would help this cosmetic issue. |

Rather disturbing trend since the patch...
Every time I quit the game it goes through the save process, but instead of simply quitting when done, it crashes. On my MacBook Pro, this is the crash report message I get: "OOTP 13 quit unexpectedly." I could post the full crash report, but I see in preview it's quite long! Also disturbing is that when I have Safari open at the same time it spontaneously crashes - even if I'm not using it at the moment - just open in the background! This is the message get about Safari: "Safari quit unexpectedly while using the .ExecutiveSoftwareDiskeeper.so plugin" Now I have no idea what that is and I had no problems previous to the OOTP monday patch and nothing changed with Safari (no new plug-ins installed or anything. My system as a whole was otherwise unchanged!) I know that Safari issues are not necessarily OOTP related, but thought it might be worth a mention seeing now I have these crash issues post-patch. The Safari crash report is equally long... Is this related to the memory leak being fixed in tomorrow's patch? |

It appears that when the scorekeeper assigns earned runs, any hit + error result is simply treated as an error. Example: one out, runners on 2nd and 3rd, single to center + one base error. Next player also gets a hit. Both runs should be earned. Instead, the scorer immediately assigns both runs as unearned. The second run scored on the error, but it would have eventually scored anyway, so the run is earned. There should never be a question about the first run.

Home page menu
The tabs at the top of the page don't show up on the in-game BNN home page menu. However, they do show up when I use the "open in external browser" function? See example below:
