Interesting Seattle stat: From the beginning of July, 24 of their last 26 losses were against OL teams!

I'd also pick Griffey, so unless Rev. McGator or someone else makes a better case for someone else, he's up 2-1. I'll check back later to see who wins.

the magic 8 ball of predictions is never an exact thing... got the reverse sweep part right... still think they happen way too much in PT but it is what it is.... good luck to the Crakes next season... hopefully they have an even better season and move up to gold

This was an amazing run. Congratulations and good luck in the series.

I do need to note that there was a reverse sweep in your LDS-- it is just you were the one doing the reverse sweeping!

Babel got smashed as expected (they squeaked out a .300 WP) and will be going back to Gold. They may never get back to Diamond so the fact they made it in the first place is a victory. The team did get better during the week as they got Eppa Rixey.

going to take another reverse sweep for Waffletown to pull this one out (already down 0-3).... don't see that happening.... close ones in all three so good, hard fought games

Baltimore Barons Dropping to Bronze for First Time in 26 Seasons

26 weeks ago, the Barons moved from Bronze to Silver for the first time. Four of those seasons they actually rose to Gold as a reminder they didn't belong there. After 26 seasons, 4 Pennants, and 11 playoff appearances, the Barons will drop to Bronze in 2070 (the 50th year of v22).

50 Seasons
3989-3951, .502
Best Season 104-58, .642 (Iron)
Worst Season 40-122, .247 (Gold)

(sigh)

jinx!

I'll keep saying it.... way too many reverse sweeps in PT.... but I'll take it... only Waffletown's third title in PT22 (all Silver level)

Heh heh, probably for the best that I wasn't watching that unfold. Enjoy the sweet taste of double victory!

Looks like it's Knockemstiff's turn to largely sit it out again in Diamond. Gold's gonna be a tough one.

Most of OL resides in these two.

Diamond

Thought I'd do a day 1 update, just 'cause everyone's played. Nice start for the Kings

Gold

Nowhere Men are off to a fast and solid start. There is currently some separation in OL between the top half and bottom half--several teams trying to stay close to Nowhere. The games of the month were had by Silly Mad Brewers' Ted Williams who had 3 HR, 8 RBI, 4-5 performance and Babel Librarians' Eppa Rixey who had a 3 hit/13K 9 inning shutout (as part of a 15 inning 20K Babel shoutout).
