Mispillion River saw an offensive burst from Jesus Dominguez (3-for-6, one run scored), Danny Boudreaux (2-for-5, 2 runs scored, 1 RBI), Luis Balderas (3-for-5, 3 runs scored, 1 RBI), Justin Avila (4-for-5, 2 RBIs) and Rusty Childs (3-for-5, 1 RBI) as the Space Otters claimed a series clinching 6-5 victory to move on to their first ever Fermentation Series

#4 Laughing Sun Red Dwarf (86-76, 2nd post season) vs #4WC Horsefly Jazzy Razzy (82-82, 6th post season)

It was an ultimate pitchers duel in game 6, as Horsefly starter Julio Solis, and Laughing Sun starter Rich Gates went pitch for pitch through 6 innings with neither giving up a run. Solis would continue on, while Gates gave way to Brad Cathcart, Nick Ross, and Adam McMillian. The game would remain scoreless into the bottom of the 9th. With two out and extra innings looming, Red Dwarf left fielder Tony Plancarte came to the plate and promptly ended the game with a walk off solo homer to claim a 1-0 win and tie the series at 3

#4 Laughing Sun Red Dwarf (86-76, 2nd post season) vs #4WC Horsefly Jazzy Razzy (82-82, 6th post season)

Red Dwarf right fielder Ken Lammers (3-for-5, 3 runs scored) and second baseman Jimmy swan (3-for-5, 3 RBIs, 2 runs scored) provided a chunk of the offense as Laughing Sun rolled to a 9-1 victory in game 7 to clinch the series 4 games to 3

Stout League - Fermentation Series: Game 1

#4 Four Hands Typhon (87-75, 5th post season) vs #3WC Terrapin Hopsecutioner (93-69, 8th post season)

Terrapin jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the second inning, thanks to home runs from Davin Pack and Greg Richwine. Four Hands wouldn't sit back though and began to chip away immediately, with a run in the bottom of the second; another in the third and the tying run in the fourth to make it a 3-3 game. In the bottom of the 7th, the Typhon picked up the go-ahead run off a sacrifice fly. The bullpen would make that run hold up as Four Hands claimed a 4-3 victory, and a 1-0 lead in the series.

Laughing Sun starter Jason Opatz was on point in game 1, tossing 6 innings, giving up just 4 hits and no runs with no walks and 5 strikeouts, before turning the game over to the bullpen. Dan Parker and Adam McMillian would finish off the last 3 innings, giving up no hits and no runs, as the Red Dwarf claimed a 4-0 victory and a 1-0 series lead.

Stout League - Fermentation Series: Game 2

#4 Four Hands Typhon (87-75, 5th post season) vs #3WC Terrapin Hopsecutioner (93-69, 8th post season)

Four Hands received solid pitching from starter Jesus Aceves (5.1 innings, 7 hits, 2 runs), and relievers Jerry de la Rosa (1.2 innings, 1 hit, no runs); Harry Mathias (1.1 innings, no hits, no runs); and Peter Allen (0.2 innings, 1 hit, no runs) as the Typhon claimed a 4-2 victory and a 2 games to none lead in the series.

Lager League - Fermentation Series: Game 2

-#4 Laughing Sun Red Dwarf (86-76, 2nd post season) vs #2WC Mispillion River Space Otters (84-78, 1st post season)

Mispillion River jumped on the board quickly with a run in the first inning to take a 1-0 lead. They would tack on 3 more runs in the second, 1 run in the sixth, and 2 runs in the seventh to extend their lead to a comfy 7-0. Laughing Sun would start to chip away, scoring 2 runs in the seventh, and 2 more in the 8th. They would pick up another run in the 9th, and put a runner aboard with 2 out as Tony Plancarte came to the plate as they game tying run. Plancarte already had a 2 run homer earlier in the game and the Red Dwarf hoped he would duplicate that feat. Unfortunately for them, he would strike out and the game ended with a Space Otters 7-5 win.

Stout League - Fermentation Series: Game 3

#4 Four Hands Typhon (87-75, 5th post season) vs #3WC Terrapin Hopsecutioner (93-69, 8th post season)


Clinging to a 1 run lead in the top of the 9th, with one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Terrapin closer Brent Johnson intentionally walked Andres Vallejo to load the bases, looking to get at worst a force out at home to preserve the lead and at best. Min Soo Kim came to bat next, grounding to third base. The throw home was in time for the force out, but the relay to first failed to get the double play. Mike Davis came up next, already 2-for-3 on the day with the chance to tie the game; but struck out instead to give Terrapin a 4-3 win.

It took a few innings for any offense to really get going, but when it started it was hard to stop. Mispillion River took a 2-0 lead into the 5th inning when the flood gates burst open. The Space Otters exploded for 6 more runs in the 5th, and another 3 runs in the 6th to take a commanding 11-0 lead. Laughing Sun tried to make a game of it, scoring 5 runs in the 8th and another 3 in the 9th but would fall short as Mispillion River claimed a 12-8 win and a 2 games to 1 lead.

Four Hands was in complete control of game 4, as their offense racked up 7 runs thanks to Min Soo Kim (3-for-5, 3 runs, 1 RBI), Mike Davis (2-for-4, 1 run, 2 RBIs) and Alex Arias (2-for-4, 1 run, 2 RBIs); while their pitching held Terrapin to a goose egg for a 7-0 win. Four Hands now leads the series 3 games to 1

Lager League - Fermentation Series: Game 4

Looking to avoid a 3-1 hole in the series, Laughing Sun came out swinging and left no doubt as to the outcome of game 4. Jimmy Swan (4-for-6, 4 runs, 5 RBIs) and Zachary Brown (3-for-6, 2 runs, 2 RBIs) did the heavy lifting for the Red Dwarf as they cruised to a 12-4 victory to tie up the series at 2 games each.

Stout League - Fermentation Series: Game 5

#4 Four Hands Typhon (87-75, 5th post season) vs #3WC Terrapin Hopsecutioner (93-69, 8th post season)

With every game a must win, Terrapin received the pitching they needed from veteran starter Marcello Waddingham, who spread out 5 hits over 6 innings of work, giving up just 1 run. Blake Miller and Brent Johnson would cover the final 3 innings, not surrendering a hit or run between them as the Hopsecutioner claimed a 3-1 victory to narrow the series deficit to 3-2

Lager League - Fermentation Series: Game 5

-#4 Laughing Sun Red Dwarf (86-76, 2nd post season) vs #2WC Mispillion River Space Otters (84-78, 1st post season)

With the series tied 2 each, both clubs were shooting for a game 5 win to move within 1 game of the BCS. As expected, it was a tight game with both teams scoring a run in the first, and both teams scoring 2 runs in the third. The game would remain tied 3-3 heading into the bottom of the 7th. Rusty Childs led off with a walk. He took 2nd base on a wild pitch, and advanced to third on a fielder's choice. With the go ahead run on third and only one out, Jesus Dominguez was intentionally walked to setup a double play. Unfortunately for the Red Dwarf, those plans didn't pan out as Dominguez proceeded to steal 2nd on the very next pitch. The throw sailed into centerfield, allowing Childs to trot home with the go ahead run. That would be the difference as Mispillion River won 4-3 and now holds a 3 games to 2 lead in the series.

Stout League - Fermentation Series: Game 6

#4 Four Hands Typhon (87-75, 5th post season) vs #3WC Terrapin Hopsecutioner (93-69, 8th post season)

With a packed, raucous house supporting them, Four Hands looked to finish off Terrapin in game 6 and move to their first ever BCS appearance. Typhon starter Jesus Aceves did his part, giving up just 3 hits and no runs in 6 innings of work. Jerry de la Rosa and Harry Mathias would cover the final three innings, with Mathias giving up a solo homer in the 9th, but that was all the Hopsecutioner would get as Four Hands claimed a 4-1 series clinching victory.

While Mike Davis (21-for-64, 3 home runs, 18 RBIs this post season), and Alex Arias (21-for-66, 3 home runs, 16 RBIs this post season) have been doing much of the heavy lifting on the offensive side; both players gave kudos to left fielder Tim Donohue for his performance so far this post season, as he has managed to have more RBIs than hits to make the most of his at bats (8-for-55, 1 home run, 10 RBIs).

Laughing Sun designated hitter Zachary Brown's bat is as red hot as the surface of the sun (.431 average for the post season), and he continued his scorching offensive run, going 4-for-5 with 2 RBIs and 2 runs scored as the Red Dwarf came from behind to claim a 7-6 win in 10 innings to tie up the series at 3 games each.

If there's one lesson to be learned from the series between Laughing Sun and Mispillion River it would be... don't pitch to Zachary Brown. Once again, Brown swung the red-hot bat, going 2-for-3 with 2 RBIs and 2 runs scored as the Red Dwarf celebrated a 4-2 game 7 victory to claim the series 4 games to 3

2027 Brewery Championship Series - Game 1

Four Hands second baseman Matt Willingham only picked up one hit in his four at bats in game 1. That one hit was a big one though, as Willingham cranked a 3 run home run to help power the Typhon to a 6-1 victory and a 1-0 lead in the series.

2027 Brewery Championship Series - Game 2

Leading 3-0 heading into the 9th inning, Four Hands was all set to celebrate another victory and a 2-0 lead in the series. Then Laughing Sun first baseman Trent Hall stepped up with 2 runners aboard and promptly tied the game with a 3 run blast. The game would extend to extra innings, where Four Hands centerfielder Min Soo Kim would pick up the walk off hit, driving in pinch runner Rodolfo Alegria t win the game 4-3 and a 2 games to none lead in the series.
