I'm not saying that a $750k won't get ownership's attention, but when you are talking about tanking for a player who will signing a contract worth $15-$30 million, I'm not so sure that $750k is a big deterrent. Maybe... Not saying Silver should or shouldn't do this, but if he really wanted to get every front office's attention, the punishment would involve losing a draft pick.

Any courtside seats available for a 9 year old girl? Asking for a friend.

Looks like we have our playoff teams.
Too bad OKC could not make it. They are fun to watch. But they will have their chances. Last edited by rudel.dietrich; 04-15-2023 at 10:54 PM. |

It’s fantastic OKC couldn’t make it. Every year OKC gets knocked out is a great year.

I made my picks on the NBA.com website for prizes and for our office pool.
I predicted Philadelphia over Denver in the pre-season. So I had to stick with them These are my picks 1st Round Bucks over Heat in 4 Celtics over Hawks in 5 76ers over Nets in 4 Cavs over Knicks in 6 Nuggets over T-Wolves in 5 Grizzlies over Lakers in 7 Warriors over Kings in 6 Suns over Clippers in 6 Conf Semis Bucks over Cavs in 5 76ers over Celtics in 7 Nuggets over Suns in 7 Warriors over Grizzlies in 6 Conf Finals Nuggets over Warriors in 7 76ers over Bucks in 7 NBA Finals 76ers over Nuggets in 7 Last edited by rudel.dietrich; 04-15-2023 at 05:13 PM. |

![]() Seattle will get a team back within the next 5 years and that will take some of the sting away. And OKC has a good young team and like 400 draft picks. They are not going anywhere unless they get hammered by injuries. |

That's not a bad preseason pick. I think the media sleep on Denver because they aren't large market, stars aren't flashy, and aren't constantly in the news off the court. But Denver has been good for a few seasons now. Just haven't been healthy for a full post season yet. And this year they have home court advantage in a season no one can win on the road and they have that thin air.

That was my pick I think four days before the season began. I was a bit worried when Philadelphia had a bad October. But they have looked good since then. Denver is really good, but so much is wrapped up in health. Murray looks good for a few games and then bad for a few games. Porter Jr. Is a walking injury risk. But he had a good season. I could pick apart any team. Relying on James Harden as my finals winner may be a fools errand. But I could give pros and cons for all 16 teams. As I said before, it may be wish casting. But I think we are in for a really good playoffs. |

I am a Lakers fan BUT have not watched a game in past 7 years . Today's players have turned me off . From tanking to the total disrespect of the fan .
And now reading about Zion ___ he is healthy ... he knows he can help his team .... but he does not feel right about playing (????) So give me my money ! Buy the products I support ! Sit there and shut up ! I will play basketball when I feel like it ! These men (?) are paid too much to play a kids game . Which my kids have been out of school for 25 years (almost) and I will watch High School and College games still ** although NIL is beginning to make it strange **

Bucks over Heat in 6 Celtics over Hawks in 5 Sixers over Nets in 5 Cavs over Knicks in 7 Nuggets over T-Wolves in 5 Grizzlies over Lakers in 6 Warriors over Kings in 6 Clippers over Suns in 7** **Kind of on the fence here. Going with the Clips in 7. If George doesn't return late in the series at anywhere close to himself, I'd be tempted to instead go Suns in 7. But the pick is the Clips. Conf Semis Bucks over Knicks in 6 Celtics over Sixers in 6 Nuggets over Clippers in 7 Warriors over Grizzlies in 6 Conf Finals Celtics over Bucks in 6 Nuggets over Warriors in 7 NBA Finals Celtics over Nuggets in 6 I'm very much up in the air about my C's & the Bucks. Given that Boston has kinda owned the Bucks recently, I see this motivating the Bucks to where there's no way they'd lose a game 7 at home vs the Cetlics. But I also think the C's are the better/deeper team and can win in 6. Either way, it's the EC over the WC in the finals. That all said, the C's wild swings this year between textbook-amazing basketball and periods of appearing to not even care would not have me surprised if they lost to the Sixers in the EC semis in 5... The C's are the best team in the league when they're on, but inconsistent & unpredictable... |

Paul George has issue w/the Clipps playoff schedule.
To me, that is the Clippers own fault. They, the Lakers & Kings all play in the same building and are all in the playoffs w/neither having the home court advantage. That means they are all on the road & at home at about the same time. There ain't but so much the NBA & NHL can do. GET YOUR OWN FRIKKIN' BUILDING!

I felt like I had to stick with my pre-season picks. But if I was going off based what I say during the season, I might of gone with Milwaukee. But Middleton has not looked like himself and just cant get his knee right. And without him, their offense can look very stagnant when it comes to playoff time. I could seriously see a case for about 10 out of the 16 teams having a realistic path to the championship if certain things were to break their way. |
