Finally an interleague victory. All it took was getting Josh Towers back in the rotation.

He did look decent, actually, well, better than before, at least.

Good job against Hudson so far tonight. Draws three walks with two outs in the 2nd inning, and follow that up with 3 singles to take a 4-0 lead.

Jays make it two in a row with a 6-3 victory over the Braves.

Burnett returns to the rotation to start for the Jays on Thursday looking to go for a sweep.

Terrific start from Burnett today. Jays make the comeback and earn their first sweep of the season. 40-32 is not bad at call considering the inconsistencies of the rotation so far this year.

Wow, Burnett was outstanding today!!! Great game. A.J. gets his first win and SO as a Jay. If he pitches like that, the Jays will contend for sure. Here's hoping his arm holds out and Chacin comes back as well.

Was anyone else scared about him pitching the 9th? I mean he didn't really have to, I figured they'd pull him after the 8th just in case.

I thought they would too. He was throwing very easy, so I guess they have a good handle on it.

Yeah but I guess since it wasn't a close game anymore they figured it might be a good emotional boost for AJ to go all the way.

Actually I was hoping they'd leave him out there. He was only at 82 and it wasn't a very difficult 82. It's not like he had to step it up a notch at any point to try and escape a jam. He only had runners reach base twice the entire time.

Given that A.J.'s biggest problem right now is that he doesn't trust his elbow, I think the risk of leaving him out for nine innings (especially given his reasonable pitch count) is outweighed by the mental boost given.

The long layoff certainly helped, though. There really was nothing terribly wrong with his elbow the second time around, it was more of a mental thing for him in that he wanted to be absolutely sure the elbow was 100% before he took the mound again. The long time spent resting surely made him more confident in his elbow holding up.

Another good start from the Jays, and we're now a season high 9 games over .500.

Doc Halladay goes for the sweep tomorrow night, and hopefully I'll be in attendance.

I 'heart' Frank Catalanotto.

Yeah I know he doesn't have much pop, nor can he play much D, nor is he very fast, but he has got to be one of my favorite players.

I didn't agree with the move to leave him in vs Stanton, but it worked out quite nicely.

The Cat/Reed platoon has got to equal some of the best left field offense in the majors.

Hinske comes off the bench and delivers 3 hits and 3 RBI's... Overbay hits 2 extra base hits, Halladay has a solid start and the Jays sweep the Nats.

The Jays are 10 games over .500 now, and only a game back of the Yankees.

The bad news is Rios is in the hospital with an infection sustained when he fouled a ball off his foot during Tuesday's game. There is no timetable for his return as they are afraid of the infection spreading.
