i'm very much looking forward to this, more than if there was going to be a MVP 07.......I'm excited about a lot of the recruiting and stuff like that that I love about the NCAA football and basketball games.

I'd be very interested in this. I'd love even more if Markus would come out with a college baseball sim that we could import the players from to OOTP but I suppose one man can only do so much.

I wouldn't be suprised to see "college teams" in OOTP2006. EHM2005 has this, but who knows.

I'm sure with the ability to create leagues within a universe you can find a way to create an NCAA system in OOTP2006.

All you'd have to do is create every conference under one league and assign teams to those conferences. How you would make those players a part of the draft system is beyond me, though.

Re: MVP College Baseball 2006!

I'm really surprised that EA Sports let themselves be outbid by 2K Sports. What's worse, I'm surprised that MLB let themselves let money dictate who they were going to allow to market their sport, because 2K is absolutely a distant second to MLB in terms of the engine. MLB is the best baseball game out there.

But that's Major League Baseball. Damn the future, let's worry about the present (the current bucks for our current players). The fact that baseball is a fading sport with our youth isn't going to improve with this move; it's going to get worse. My 12 and 15-year old's won't touch anything 2K Sports makes, and now that it has the 'exclusive' license, why would it even try to improve it's terrible game? They'll look at is as 'Hey, we have the players, the teams, and the stadiums. If you want to play with real players, you have no choice but to play our game. Take it or leave it.'

It's a joke, but I'm going to buy the College Baseball game also - first, because good sales might show MLB that it made a mistake (how funny would it be if MVP outsold 2K Sports, even though it was with college players?). And second, because, if the game works as well as NCAA Footbal did, it might be fun to recruit players, watch them improve, and then play for the College WS. Maybe take a second-tier program and make it good? Could be more fun than taking the Devil Rays and making them good.

I was a bit worried when they announced only 128 teams had made it.
But I understand the reasoning behind it and the 128 teams they picked are 95% of the teams relavent in college baseball

Create-A-Ballpark. How cool is that? As for 2K games, I've always thought their baseball games superior to MVP.

Wonder what this new sport called Basbeall they're promoting is that you can use Summer or NCAA rules for.

Do you know the difference between Summer or NCAA rules for college players? Or are you trying to be funny?

Considering he spelled the word baseball wrong and EA did just the same, I'm 100% sure he's just kidding.

Im glad UCF moved from the A-Sun to CUSA this year or I would be less likely to buy the game.
