I may not like either of them, but I'll always root for the team.

Kenny Williams Tenure as GM
You may fault Kenny Williams. In fact, I haven't liked some of his trades; the ill-fated Todd Ritchie comes to mind. Yet, Williams has made the effort to improve the team. Ron Schueler, who preceeded Williams, had a track record for doing very little. Williams also has to be creative because the Sox are never going to go after a big free agent like a Beltran or A-Rod. Williams' deals have depleted much of the farm system (trading away Jeremy Reed will haunt the Sox in my humble opinion). The jury is still out on the long-term impact of Williams' run as GM. This year and perhaps the next two or three most likely will determine the way White Sox fans and history remember his time.

Went to Fever Pitch with a buddy of mine this afternoon.
He's a Cubs/Brewers fan, I'm a White Sox fan. I was all like "They should be playing Gload more often, man." "...Why?" "Because you can not deny the greatness that is the Gload." "He's ****. I saw him in his first major league game and he was ****." "That was only his first game. The path to Gloadvana requires more than just one step." "Okay first of all, I want whatever you're smoking. Second of all, he's nothing more than a glorified pinch hitter." "You will pay for blaspheming his name, for Gload is God." "....Whatever, dude, whatever." What really bugs me is that I'm in Southeastern Wisconsin... so close, yet so far away. Our television games are all Cubs/Brewers. No White Sox

Holy ****. Buerhle must have had 3pm tee time. 1:39 and he struck out 12. Just a fab game from Marky Mark. P.K. with his league leading 6th bomb. Someone might want to check to see if he's juicing.

Ahh..Just got done watching my tape of the game. Mark looked awesome. Career high 12 k's. If not for Ichiro he'd have had a no-hitter. And I am pretty sure Konerko just took the league lead in HR with 7.
We've also won every series so far. Let's hope it continues

Mark Buehrle is one of the most under-rated pitchers in the game. |

Lohse against Contreras tonight. Hopefully Contreras can bounce back from his last outing and not give up so many walks.

Ozuna is a utilityman who played parts of three seasons with Florida and Colorado as a middle infielder and occasional centerfielder. He was signed to a minor league contract by the Sox back in January, and he put up a monster spring, putting up a .527 batting average.

Guillen's comments on Thomas?
Does anybody here know what Ozzie said yesterday about Thomas? Apparently he brought up some old issues and beat writers are making a big deal out of it.
I'm not in Chicago now so I have missed the uproar. What happened? |

Wow, too bad he held back like that. He should tell the media how he really feels about Thomas.

Ohhhh, so THAT is why Ozzie was so upset/angry.
He wasn't referring to last year, he was referring to the old Frank. Basically, what he was talking about was old news. Williams was on the radio today talking about that. Once again the Chicago media makes up news. Shocking that it makes Thomas look bad. |

Good luck this two game series, guys. Lohse and Radke (I think) should pitch well, but if you're gonna win a game, it will be against Lohse tonight. Both teams are hot and another early season series will really light the fire beneath the butts of all players.
