April 2005
NL East standings Team W L PCT GB Philadelphia 13 11 .542 Florida 12 13 .480 1.5 Atlanta 11 14 .440 2.5 New York (N) 10 16 .385 4.0 Washington 8 15 .348 4.5 Charleston and Chavez carried us this month. Both have an .OPS over 1000 We are in the top 10 in several batting catagories but 17th in runs scored. I expect that to reverse itself. Chavez hit three homeruns in a game against Colorado and Charleston hit for the cycle against Cincinati Our pitching is horrid. We have a team ERA of 5.47 ugh... As for the rest of the majors... Toronto is off to a suprising 18-8 start and leads the AL East. Barry Bonds has a 1.447 OPS and it tearing up the NL. But the Giants are 13-11 Rudel walks into the office of the GM on May 1st GM: Slamming down a copy of the Washington Post 'All our efforts are going to waste! Our pitching is pissing away the season. We have to make something happen. Get on it at once!' Rudel: 'Yes sir...I will have a solution for us tomorrow' |

Nationals and Brewers complete deal
Today the Washington Nationals and Milwauke Brewers completly a massive deal. The Brewers sent pitcher Ben Sheets for pitchers Zach Day, Tomokazu Ohka and 4 million dollars. This comes after shocking off season developments as the Nationals are under investigation for using clones... Nationals and Twins complete deal In the second big trade of the day involving the Nationals, they and the Minnesota Twings agreed to a deal. The Twins in a shocking move dealt last years Cy Young winner Johan Santana to the Nationals for a minor league player, 20 million dollars and something reportadly called the 'formula'. This move greatly improves a pitching staff that was among the worst in the majors... Well ok, that solves that. I decided if I gave one team a clone every three seasons it would take 87 seasons.... I had to speed things up a little. |

The next day in the office of the GM
GM: 'Gutsy moves boy! Gutsy move indeed! You do realize that you gave away all of our cash reserves AND gave the formula to another team?' Rudel: 'Well my thinking was, who in the hell have the Twins ever had that is worth bringing back?' GM: Letting out a hearty laugh. 'Good thinking my boy...now get out of my office. I have to stay one step ahead on the Feds on this whole cloning issue' |
