I didn't see the preliminary round voting, so unfortunately I couldn't input my choices there, but caught this one in time.

To me, 8 is far and away the best logo out of the bunch and I didn't have to hesitate when voting for it.

Second I would have to say is 9 from my aesthetics

I can't believe #11 didn't get any votes. Bastages!

I just can't beleive all the love for number 8. It is a great logo. But I really don't think it goes with this contest. There are supposed to be logos that go with the game. How can a logo that has no indication it has to do with baseball be the best one for a baseball game?

Did you ever consider that those gunshot holes might actually be holes from a blazing hot fastball? I did. They're pretty big holes for mere bullets.

The MLB doesn't exactly have a TON of logos that really indicate their link to baseball.

I went with 8 as it being more to my taste but all are great logos and I mean that, anyone of them I would have as a logo for an OOTP team.

All of them are very well done...I would be happy to use any of these in my leagues. All of the designers are to be complimented.

But only 4 of them...#2, #11, #17 and #20 have a baseball connection.
This is a must have for me personally.

Some connection to baseball should be in each logo...just my opinion and preference.

#20 is my choice...a superb logo.

Excellent design and colors: brilliant little touches like the sombrero over the "T"...the use of the red/blue "T" for Texas...the jalopena for the "J"...the outline of Texas...the added yellow color on the sombrero and the lettering...and the city name (San Antonio) will show up on the game's midsized screens (maybe only important to me)...and of course, the baseball.

I love this logo and will use it when I create my Texas League and Southern Association recreations.

Some very good choices to choose from. I can live without a baseball on the logo, probably the majority of team logos dont have a baseball etc. on the logo. My problem is the fitness of purpose of the logo designs, unfortunately some of these are outstanding astistically, but its obvious that they werent designed for use in OOTP. I cant vote for logo that cant be read in the game on the majority of screens where they show up. Maybe the logos should be loaded into the game and a screen shot taken of how they look in the game play screen.

I was curious and I went through them. It seems as though it's pretty even between those who currently have something baseball related in their logo and those who do not:

Yes:
MIL
STL
SF
SEA
NYM
WAS
BAL
SD
PIT
TEX
BOS
COL
KC
MIN
14

No:
OAK
ANA
HOU
TOR
ATL
CHI-N
TB
ARI
LA
CLE
FLO
PHI
CIN
DET
CHI-A
NYY
16

I might have gotten a couple wrong, but the point is it's pretty even.

Anyways, it's not a must for me. It would be a nice touch especially if it was subtle, but it's not a must.

I'm very much enjoying going over the detail in each one, seeing what works what doesn't and trying to spot the symbolisms that might not be readily noticeable. It would be most unfortunate to lose out on future works. If anyone is considering not continuing, please don't.
Agree 100% with kq76.

#8 is very good...but so are quite a few others.

No one should hang their head because they did not get chosen as the favorite logo...75% of them are just as well done as whatever the favorite will be.

Very few of today's pro logos have any connotation to the sport. There was a link to an article about that placed on this board about a week ago.

i voted for 8 and 10 in the semis, so i immediately narrowed it down to them. they are excellent. i ultimately voted for 10 because its 'bigger' and shows up better in-game.

Ditto what others have said about many teams not having baseballs in their logo.

So did I. I liked how it didn't use any actual pro baseball logos elements.

Don't get me wrong Number 8 is great. I love it. I just like the subtle way both 2 and 20 made it obvious it was a baseball logo. Cuss did a great job, it is no knock on him.

Since I can't in good conscious vote for one of my own creations, I have to choose from amongst the other candidates.

I'm going to go against the trend and throw my support behind the wildcard entry, #20. I'm not a big fan of square designs in general, but the elements were put together nicely so it gets my vote.
