I'm a talk radio freak, so I usually have Sportingnewsradio.com on in the back ground. Or if it's late, some Art Bell.
If i'm in the mood for some tunes, i'll usually play some techno from xtcradio.com |

I use a program that plays the National Anthems and Take Me Out to the Ball Game. It was originally designed for Diamond Mind but it works with OOTP too.

Being a High Heat series addict I was saying to myself "I didn't know OOTP4 had a tune file, here I go again trying to fine tune that sucker".
But found out different and very glad ! |

Its a little on the "country" stide - not that there's anything wrong with that - but, how about Alabama's "Cheap Seats". Good baseball song.

Any Mozart piano sonata works for me. I'm pretty sure I saw Mozart at Griffith Staium when I was a kid

The last few days, since Spring Training games started, I've been listening to them. If there's not a game on, I have the laptop in front of the tv.

Two words: Duke Ellington! (especially if I'm doing a 1930s or 40s replay)

I've played with this idea for most of the night and have what I feel is a pretty good setup.
First-I downloaded all of the baseball sound files I could find. The HighHeat stuff is good, along with several Napsterlike sites. Second-I created play lists for Winamp. Examples- START1 (includes H.Lewis&News Live National Anthem, Umpire "Playball", Rolling Stones Start me up) NORMAL (includes background crowd noice, vendors, etc) RALLY (includes crowd cheers, rally music, etc) HOMERUN (Homerun call, followed by SF Fog Horn) ETC, ETC. Third- I added shortcuts to the playlists, right clicked shortcuts, properties and set a shortcut key to each. As I start the game I hit a button and the National Anthem starts, followed by playball, START ME UP, another button- Crowd noice, another during a rally, etc. Works pretty well...just make sure not to use any keys you will be using. |

Nice way to add sound to the game

I'm with spleen1015...with mlb.com not charging for spring training games, I'm spending a lot of time listening to them while I play. If not, I usually have the TV on in the background for noise.
Regarding mlb.com, has anyone heard anything on what they are going to charge for audio this year? If its just $9.95 again, I'll happily shell it out. Living in Las Vegas, I wouldn't get to hear O's games without Real Audio. With the number of games I listen to each year, I pay maybe 2 cents a game. Sure, its not as good as free, however its still a good deal. Joshuaaaaaa
