Same here. I've tried it with various leagues and the only thing that works is the commish password.

So you're saying we have to tell our team owners to reset all their team passwords? And the commishes as well on the chance that it might work?

Ran, I am trying to find out a way around the problem. From the way it seems, some leagues look to be dead in the water. If this idea gets around the problem than these leagues can get on with life. I understand that having all of your owners reset their passwords is uncalled for with a change to the game. I am just trying to help those who are stuck move on.

EDIT - The testing I've done has shown that the feature works. My test league is in off season FA, but it was not set up as an online league. I set is up as one, set the passwords and it works.

I understand, and I appreciate it. I guess I just feel that I've been very supportive (to the point of being called a fanboy by some), and am getting a bit frustrated with this kind of thing.

Anyway, I just tried resetting the commish password, changing a team password, closing and reopening the game and to no avail. The team's password still does not allow them to view what a free agent wants.

Thanks all the same for the effort.

The only other difference I see in the situation is that I turned on Online League mode after installing the patch. Maybe turning this off, restarting, turning it on, restarting will help.

I'm frustrated with you, Ran. We'll find a way to fix it.

Well that isn't good news. I'm hoping this isn't too difficult to fix via a quick patch.

Also, while it may allow my game to view FAs, I'm sure the suggested fix (if it works) won't help the owners. They would have to go through the complication of restarting, etc. to see FA offers.

Or maybe not since the game file would be changed. Just don't know if it is a game engine or a file problem.

I've brought this to Markus' attention so he is aware of it.

Spleen, have you gotten it to work with season-underway FA's?

Well, I tested it again and again, and it works perfectly. When a team password is set, it will be ckecked (and the team or the commish password works). If there is no team password stored, you'll get to the screen as well!

The only thing I can imagine is that they enter the wrong team password...

I checked the code various times, and everything works as expected here.

All of us are entering the wrong password? I can understand one or two commishes doing this - but come on .

You have tested this with a league currently in operation?

I don't have the game at hand now, but I'm certain that the team password doesn't work to access the FA's when the season is underway.

I'm actually at work right now, so if some other commish has easy access to their files, could you send this to Markus? Otherwise, I'll send it when I get home.

Guys,

now I understand... you were talking about the free agents DURING a season. Well, this has been password protected with the commish only password for quite a while, hasn't it? This was supposed to prevent guys from signing players during the season, which would mess up the imports...

But didn't we talk about letting the guys access the player's screen but not allowing them to offer a contract? At least, that's what I thought.

I thought the original point was to prevent users from seeing FAs through the eye of an other team during the FA period... that's why I built this 'feature' in...

Funny, looks like we all misunderstood each others. Well, what now?
