Looking at them a little more I have to think Berroa has the inside edge because he is a SS.

Why does everyone always over look MARK TEIXEIRA. Leading all rookies in homers and has consistantly been getting better, his numbers would have looked a lot better without that first part of April.

I would vote Teixeira over Baldelli, that's for damn sure.

Angel Berroa, Angel Berroa, ANGEL BERROA. This poll is an outrage. We need more Royals fans around this place.

Chill! Thank you. I already said that I should have put Berroa in the poll. I have no problem with write in's.

Matsui isn't a rookie so his sellout Yankee ass doesn't get my vote. I'd go with Berroa as well.

Matsui, nobody had a bigger impact than the one Godzilla made in New York.

I would vote for Matsui, as I have no qualms voting for players from other professional leagues. However, he didn't have the best season. The only real advantage Matsui has over Berroa is hitting with RISP. Everything swings in Berroa's favor. He also has the highest Total Average of all the ROY candidates, even higher than Gerut, with .794. Gerut is at .786. Matsui is down at .725. Teixiera is at .775. Baldelli is at .698.

Teixeira would get a look for me, 26/84/.263 isnt bad. This is also with my personal judgement that overseas professional players should not be able to win the ROTY.
