While they could make an exception, the general reason would be that the 2024 standard game starts on 18 March and the sale didn't go through until the 27th of March.

That hasn't stopped them from having trades that technically were executed in the "future," but before opening day, like the Berti trade this year. The sale was also in the works for a long time, it wouldn't be a stretch to change it even if the deal was completed today. An owner with different personality traits could have a decent effect on your sim long term, the Orioles have the talent to be a juggernaut with enough budget.

As I literally said, they could make an exception. I answered the question as to who was the owner of the team, when it occurred, and the general reason why it isn't reflected in the Standard Game on 18 March. I'm on neither side. Reflect the world as of the 18th. Of the 27. Doesn't matter to me. If anyone needs to know how to edit the owner to the new one or change their personality, just ask or search the forums.

Installed the patch today and there seems to be an audio issue.
I play out my games pitch-by-pitch.
It seems that whenever the ball is put into play, you hear the contact of ball on bat right when the ball leaves the pitcher's hand rather than at the swing of the bat.
It's a bit unsettling, gives me kind of a sea-sick feeling.

Confirmed. I guess this is the new animation to replace the dive.

Anyone else seeing an issue where if you go to the scouting tab of a player and then try to change the views, it will not make the change and keeps you at the same default view or is it only happening for me?

Looks like any other screens I go to with options to change the view in a box by clicking on the little down arrow seem to work just fine, only the scouting tab in the player page will not change.

I use the classic skin so wondering if it is restricted to that skin only, but it doesn't matter which view I select from the drop-down in the image below it will not change from the default ones in the SCOUTING tab.

How to access the beta on Steam:

• Quit OOTP 25 if it's running.
• Open Steam client -> Library
• Right click on Out of the Park Baseball 25
• Click on "Properties" at the bottom of the menu
• Click on the beta tab. Here, enter the following code / password: ootp25betapt
• Click on "Check code"
• Open the beta pull-down and select "publicbeta".
• Close the Steam client (Steam menu -> Exit)
• Open the client again. It should then download the beta build.

Update Info for our webstore customers: To apply the update, simply download the setup file and install it over your current installation. There is no need to uninstall or unlicense your current copy! However, you should quit the game before installing it, of course. Updates always contain all the changes from previous updates. Saved games are compatible between different versions.

It's been broke since release and it's not just classic skin. I use dark.

It's been reported but I haven't seen a confirmation they are aware and have it on the list to fix.

I'm not sure if this is working. Maybe I'm doing something wrong.

I just traded for 1 Extremely Popular and 1 Very Popular player and the fan interest didn't budge.

It's kind of critical for my historic Challenge Mode save. When I imported that save from 24 I inexplicably lost about 20 point of fan interest despite coming off a WS win. And it didn't budge after I won my 2nd straight WS.

With my Fan Interest so low my stadium is about 1/3 filled, my budget was slashed and my owner gave me a one year extension saying he wasn't thrilled with me for lack of fan interest and attendance. I really don't want to get fired over this.

No, they wouldn't. Their future is still uncertain, the game only sims from the current point in time.

Yes. It was replaced with an odd animation where it looks like a shoestring catch but the ball gets by the fielder but then the fielder transports to where the ball is to stop it. So now we have Star Trek plays.

I thinhk this is the first attempt at diving catch attempts that are not successful. Something many have asked for since in all previous versions a dive ALWAYS meant the ball would be caught in the outfield.

This animation actually existed before this latest patch. However it was very rare. I saw it once in spring training (28 games) and two more times over 35ish regular season games. After the patch I saw it three times in the first game. Surely this will be tweaked over time, and hopefully lead to a "dive, no catch, ball rolls past the OF" type plays in the future.

Sometimes it is the day after the Beta drop, but most of the time it takes a few days, particularly after a Friday drop. Plus there are a few issues they may have or see here and look to address.
Perhaps mid to late week is my guess.

Same here. 25 has been such a great release (disclaimer: I play historicals) that I'm ready to start my long-term save as soon as this patch drops. And it's still April!
