When I play games in 3D, some players disappear except the ball during each play on the field, Sometimes not.

There were some of these last year, but it seems there's even more this year that are not really even close. Plays where the runner clearly beats the throw to the base, but he's called out all the same. You could say, well, its a bang-bang play or the umpire just missed it. But we live in the age of instant replay now, and if it could be cleaned up a little it would help with the immersion. There are many plays at 2nd base when the runner is coming up out of his slide when the ball arrives and is still called out.

These two relate to issues people have mentioned but maybe are different. Both are Groundball 34S plays.

1. Groundout 3-1. First baseman fires it towards the dugout; pitcher is not even halfway to the bag, but somehow catches it.

2. Pretty much the same as above, but an E1 dropped throw from the first baseman. The first baseman appears to throw the ball directly down at the first base bag even though the pitcher is not nearby or in range.

C throw to 2b on a steal, and ball goes into the outfield, but after it gets to second, it jumps straight from the bag to the CF (like 4x faster than the throw itself...almost cannot even see it).

I had this sock thing earlier before the 1st update. I fixed it by re-installing the update. That's how I fixed it. I brought this up to Markus and they couldn't replicate it. Not only what you have but all of my players that was showing socks were that reddish/orange. Anyway, that's how it got fixed by re-installing the update. Good luck.

I re-installed Patch #2. TWICE.

I had the Beta Pre-Order version initially. Could that be it?


I can't get those socks to go away yet. I'm on a MacBook and downloading the OS version.

Well, what I did was unlicensed my game first. Then saved all my jerseys and ballparks and stuff. Then I uninstalled the game deleting everything but my stuff I wanted to keep. Installed the original game that was released and licensed it again. Everything was good. I then installed the very first update and it was good. The first update after the game was released was when the socks thing happened. I was lucky that this was very early on when this happened. There has been like 3 updates since. If you check my posts you can see what I had posted. Anyway, that's how I did it. It worked and has been ok ever since. So it had something to do with the install. I did not have to download the game again, I just used the original download. Something in that first update was funny. So you might have to start right from scratch like it is brand new. That's what I did. Good luck. Hope I helped you out.

And I'm on windows 11. My suggestion is to start all over from the beginning and check the socks along the way. I know it's a bit of a pain to make sure you save all of the things that you want to keep before starting all over again.

SOLVED!!!

I had to unfortunately UNINSTALL BOTH OOTP 24 AND OOTP 25 and Re-INSTALL OOTP 25 Patch #2 to get the Red Socks thing go away!!!

Not sure why it happened.... but THANKFUL Trial and Error solved it.

Odd, but now I can move on with my season start!! Thanks for ideas Zappa!!!

That's great. Glad you got it working. I also am not sure what happened when it happened to me. It taught me a lesson, though. If nothing else works, try and start from the beginning again. You should be good to go now. Have fun.
