As someone who's only interest in PT is just ripping packs and trying to complete missions (I don't care in the slightest how my team actually performs), this has been an underwhelming version. It doesn't feel like there have been any interesting missions, in the past it felt like there were new missions dropping every week and I would have the cards already to complete one or two and would be close on a few others, now I don't know if I have been aware of any new missions being added.
Are the new missions just being based around new cards or something? I never sell any cards that aren't duplicates, but I never notice a new mission popping up like 75% complete or anything like that. |

I wonder if there's just too much money in the game economy with the extra PT+ income for the prices of non-BiS cards and mission roadblocks like Duke and Campanella to fall like usual- The neverending LE money sink train may have hit a whale or 10 to 25 (while locking most of us out of those players, always a nice feeling) but overall income has to be up with the increased drops/rewards over time creating an even bigger hole for F2P player to stay competitive. |

What "might" help

Sadly, as so many have pointed out, the mission designs seem a bit soulless since Snag left. I have spent many an evening looking at the missions and rueing the day he left.

Well...this year's mission structure certainly keeps us guessing, but not in the good sense of that word. A perfect partridge in a gold and silver pear tree, but only if you've completed bronze geese a-laying.

You mean like Gehrig?
Oh, yeah, getting all the other cards doesn't get you Perfect Gehrig. What a shame. It would have been so easy to have a mission where you had to collect handfuls of 1B at each level to get the Gehrig at that level, and the reward for getting all 5 was the perfect Gehrig.

I have said and still say Missions are an after thought since we lost Kris. It looks like little planning is done to make a cohesive structure of any type. The worst part is that when new Missions come out, all the cards that we have been collecting are worthless. The paltry number and quality of Missions are linked to the cards released that day. This game as a card collecting game is an utter failure since Kris was cut.
I almost did not play PT this year but thought to give it another chance to rebound closer to the game that it was. I hope I see more in the second half of the cycle than I have seen so far this year.
