Mets start with -$24M. My player development resources are half what the budget is. All of my prospects will probably bust at this rate. Only two teams exist, I believe, with positive budgets: Dodgers and Cardinals. Is this a bug?

Thanks, Matt. I will have to hold off then on doing much in that franchise because the Mets have six top-100 prospects and I don't want some of them to bust lol. Thanks again.

Really clean and crisp. Love the 3D mode as well and the speed is so much better as well. I have not got very far into my first season franchise mode and looked at everything yet, but love the look and believe it is worth purchasing for sure.

The only negative so far is the lack of international leagues in the game which I will miss. But I believe there will be some mods that I will be able to add to create some international leagues.

I’m pretty impressed with it from the 20 minutes I was able to play. The UI, while similar to last year, is a marked improvement. The skin is much easier on the eyes in my opinion. I think the financials need to be looked at, and I’ve seen some questionable trades - Ohtani, as an example, was traded to the Yankees before opening day. I’m not sure if there’s anything that can be done about that though. Overall trading is a lot better - it’s nice for the AI to finally agree to a trade after adding one of the players it asks you to.

One thing I’d like to see is for the QuickStart to give us the option to enable the prospect leagues and Arizona Fall League. I always have to jump in and create them when I start a new game, and I think it would be nice for them to be there by default now that there’s a lot of real estate on that popup when creating a new save.

Opening day my Padres vs the Rockies. I pinch hit for my catcher...get the old defensive roster not set pop up after he strikes out to end the inning. Go to replace him.

Ah well, the Rockies were kicking my ass :P

There's a fix out for this already. You'll just need to re-download from the download thread and reinstall the new patch:

Spray chart on field is nice, but would still prefer a hover-over-batter widget for it.

If keeping it as on-field instead, it must be much more subtle in its coloring and presentation. Waaaay to over-the-top looking!

Yes, simply download and install version 37 on top of the current copy

Yes, redownload from the first post in the download thread, then reinstall from that download and you'll be good to go.

Doesn't look like any of the default uniforms have numbers on the front. I'm wondering if it's possible... has anyone found where the source xml template for numbers themselves are? the readme for jerseys doesn't state anything

I sure would be nice to have a batting helmet option. No batting helmets in a lot of historic league, like my Negro League!

Downloaded and quickly went through a year.

The saved views I was using from OOTP 23 imported into the OOTP 24 tables folder just fine.

Got the manager and team home screen setup the way I like

Organization overview isn't as good. I use this screen a lot, shuffling players up and down, and checking the IL. The old 3x3 layout showed all my MLB, AAA, AA, A+, A, R, R, and either IL or DFA list pretty well. Now the interface is too bubbly and rounded, and only shows 5 names at a time in the 3x3 layout :/ This is in 1920x1080. Changing the font back didn't help. Making the font size small does, but small is a bit too small?

Front office Finances tab only has 6 boxes instead of the 3x4 layout, and no screen setup option for changing that layout.

I did get a black screen while resizing and doing stuff in Modern 2D View. Couldn't close window or maximize or resize more to get the screen back. But I haven't restarted or anything yet installing, will try to reproduce that and submit more detail on a report later if I figure it out.

While testing, I did get something odd. I finished a day midseason, got a trade offer in the mail, but it was already expired. The Padres had traded a pitcher they were going to offer to another team by the time I got to even open the mail.

Trade deadline day, I started it, then went back to double check a mail to look at a trade offer that came in a few days ago that I was reconsidering, but when I went back to the deadline day, the first session ended, even though I only took a few seconds real time. Tried it for a second time, seems like going to the top to select the MLB drop down menu, then Continue Trading Deadline Day, skips the current trade deadline session.

Kind of want quick access to my notes somewhere for trade deadline day too. Then again, I'd probably just scrawl out some notes on an RL notepad, or spreadsheet on second monitor.

Trade difficulty was on +8(it goes up to +10 now), left favors veterans/prospects alone for now. Left evaluation on default 30/50/15/5. Seemed to get some generous trade offers, coming through the mail, or working them out manually. Would maybe notch up the difficulty again. Would adjust toward favor prospects a bit.

I change maximum number of options in a season from 5 to No Limit, since the AI didn't handle it well last year. I quickly looked through a number of players on my team(left asst. gm mostly in control so i could observe) and a few AI teams, and it doesn't seem to go as crazy optioning guys like it used to though.

I like the new spray chart overlay, however I feel this could be better implemented.

Right now it's either on or off, and you have to leave the game screen to change your choice.

What would be nice is if you could toggle it during game play without leaving the game. Just have a button you click and it comes on for 5 seconds, then fades out. Having it on all the time is somewhat distracting.

Other than that, I like it and find it to be a nice addition to the game.

F8 toggles it for me. (But not the way you described it).
