imagine being able to slide the umpire $100 bucks under the table for more favorable calls. it puts EVERY TEAM in a situation where they need to come up with a $100 to butter the umpires beak in order to get a game called fairly

that is what is happening with perfect team and the proverbial fence just keeps getting moved further and further back every year

i didn't realize perfect team was doing that well where they could alienate more fans by adding more pay walls

Paragraph #1 - couldn't be farther from the truth. The only posters who end up getting banned are the one that simply can't accept reality. What part of "this is a business and a business has expenses" don't you get? Would you rather they simply close up shop and go find another job? That "IS" the alternative you realize, right?

Paragraph #3 - there's nothing deceptive about it. PT was ALWAYS meant to be the money arm of the game. The goal is to trade increased profits for a game that's more fun and challenging. Every P2W game works like this. It's not cheating - it's the way they work.

I have to assume you do know the classic game is free all year for the price of the game right? And it's been that way for 24 years. Buy the game, play all year for free. I have to conclude what you "want" is to play PT without spending money """AND""" be able to win it all. I'll let you in on a secret - we all want that but it's not going to happen - nor should it.

If you're playing PT and haven't figured out it is a P2W model I don't know what to tell you. Yes, you can play for free, and if you get enjoyment out of that, cool. You are not paying to cheat the game, paying is one way of playing the game by design. Too me? It's not baseball and I don't get the point, but to each their own.

Best I can tell you is I haven't tried it, and I'm not going to.

I just want a really good (fair) game at a fair price. i dont play any other modes in games other than PvP and usually these niche games from indie developers are free of corporate upselling but markus sold out.

i don't want to constantly be nickeled and dimed and upsold for something that came with the game free of charge the year before. if i wanted to play a game ran by a greedy [snipped] corporation i'd be playing madden

I think there's a scale and it's going from "tolerable" to "out of hand" very quickly with every new version and the more you accept it the worse it gets.

I dont want another game / hobby of mine to fall victim to the constant upselling so i take a principled stance (my personal choice however you do you)

Why shouldn't it? PT SHOULD be winnable without paying a dime, it should be next to impossible but it should be possible.

It isn't people critical of the game getting banned, it's when the comments start getting insulting instead of critical such as the way the quote above might be interpreted.

The best human vs human mode in this game continues to be Online Leagues in my opinion. That's still available as always, and still free. There are options from ultra competitive to casual and everything in between. There are social leagues... and even a few antisocial ones.

Just an option to consider.

Wow, no other service in the world offers a free service and a paid service with more features. Pandora, Stitcher, Peacock fand even YouTube for example. Or others that do not have a free platform, but different priced subscriptions, Netflix, HboMax, and Every Automobile company, Or paywalls, The Athletic, New York Times, etc. These are the ones I know ave that is why they are from similar categories.
