I am pretty the devs took a fresh look at how far baseballreference.com has come with the myriad of STATS and reports and sortable team stats and did not want to be left behind......if they want to be a stat game surely they are keeping up with everything that is out their and not putting ALL the resources into 3d pants.????
With all the new stats and reporting abilities i wonder if they are going to do dual monitor support

TBH I’d love to see a list of games that support dual monitors. It’s a harder ask than it looks. Even with individual non-gaming apps, the ones that do that tend to be ones that open up multiple windows. Chrome is an example, I guess - I put the screen I’m working on at my job on one window and F12 on the other all the time. But I’m pretty sure it’s not just a matter of “let it recognize an overall ‘screen’ that’s really wide and let Windows handle the rest” because, well, it already handles 3840px width if you do it all on one screen…

TBH, and maybe it’s just my awesome curved widescreen monitor talking, I really don’t want OOTP opening up extra windows.

I don't blame them for keeping things quiet until the release is ready.

Head To Head play would be so freaking sweet. I've been waiting for that since Season Ticket.

This. I have two monitors and I use that to have OOTP full-screen in one while I have YT/Netflix/etc open in the other. Or, occasionally, my spreadsheets for my OOTP save in that other monitor

Strat-o-Matic has had this feature for 30 years

And their game is otherwise quite primitive compared to OOTP.

LOL. H2H was supposed to be released in OOTP 6.5, so I'm not holding my breath.

I recently watched the newest OOTP 23 trailer. It without a doubt said "Live Head to Head with PT".
Does this mean we will be able to manage our team during the game or not? I mean will I be able to call when to bunt, pinch hit, steal a base, etc...during the game? I'm not talking about the presets or the settings we choose in the default mode. I would like to be able to MANAGE the whole game myself.
I am going to buy the OOTP 23 game either way so it is not a deal breaker. It is just that I buy another game just for the live head to head. The other game is much more fun with the live head to head but overall OOTP is a superior single player experience.

I just want to know if I should buy the other game or not. The other game is expensive and I do not want to buy both if OOTP is going to have true live head to head mode.

Thank you for any help.

The Live Head to Head thing mentioned in the trailer is just the end of the year PT tournament that is in the vein of PT Master Series last year. You won't be able to manage the players during the actual game.

To expand on that a little bit, it's not necessarily a tournament in and of itself, but the event will have a little bit to do with how we're structuring tournaments this year. We'll talk about that a little more to clear up any confusion during the PT Reveal Stream on Monday.

OK thank you for the information. Last year I skipped PT all together and just played single player OOTP and Head to Head Live Matchups on another baseball sim.
I'm very disappointed that they still do not have an actual live head to head. It must be very hard to implement or else they would of done it already. Guess I'll have to go another year buying both OOTP and the other game. Wish you well.
