You've gotta create your own caps. Had that issue with caps made prior to 3-D. Use the Cap Creator. Only problem is you can't make dead ball era caps. Well..they look modern.

That's unfortunate. I was wondering about that because it looks odd with the modern caps on the early teams.

I created the low profile historical caps about 7+ years ago. I owe everyone that still uses them to fit the current models. I may still have the original artwork to make somewhat quick work of it.

I haven't attempted anything more complicated.
I use paint.net, also. We are both basically doing the same thing in different ways. I idea is to get rid of the background. I slide the Opacity-Alpha for the black down to 0 in the small box bottom left. Do the same for the white down to 0. Then up top where it says normal, is a drop down box. The very bottom of the box is overwrite. Now you can use the bucket fill tool to make whatever you want transparent (deleted) with just a click. There is also a tolerance slider that is set on 50% default. You can use that slider to make the transparency stronger or weaker if 50% is too much. I just like it better than using the magic wand.

Don't feel bad. You had no idea how this was going to turn out. I appreciate very much your work and continue to use your caps, jerseys, and logos. For me, it was trying to figure out what was causing the graphic glitch and then fixing it. And the answer was simple. Just remake the cap. All the art work is already there thanks to your work. It's not as bad as it seems. I thank you again for all your work.

No apologies necessary. If you don't want to shoulder the burden on your own, I can offer some help with some

I'm also willing to help, though I don't know the extent of my skills in recreating them yet until I spend some more time with it. The easiest way might be to just have one person work on a group of debut years. For the most part, there don't seem to be many new ones for any given year. I think for 1910 I had to switch 7 or so caps. However, in the early 20th century it seems there were almost yearly changes with some teams.

Are you the person that created the OOTP14 Import pack for uniforms, caps, and logos? I've been using that for my league started in 1901. I love them. It's only recently that I realized that the 3D was not rendering the caps correctly.

What would your approach be to get rid of the vertical stripe remnant from the cap to isolate the logo in this example? I guess I could go to the site that silvam recommended and just get a clean logo.

I would go to Chris Creamer's sports logos website and just take one from there. would be easier to remove the background. He has pretty much every logo I would think

It's interesting that the logo I showed for 1910 is closer to the 1908-1909 logo.

This image shows what my set has for the White Sox from 1904-1909. There's no logo at all. Just what I needed: discrepancies!

[EDIT] Thinking about it, though, a logo and a cap are two different things. It's completely possible that the cap had no logo, regardless of what logo represented the team itself.

I already have half of the Boston NL franchise done, so know this is being worked on. However...I'm away on vacation for the next 10 days!

The historical uniform database is linked below. Just select a team and the year and it will show you the exact uniform.

http://exhibits.baseballhalloffame.o...s/database.htm

For example, here is the 1910 White Sox:

That's pretty cool. I just assumed that early 20th century teams didn't actually have different uniforms for road & home.

In the game, the uniform template, at least to me, doesn't look like it includes pants. Since I play dead ball, most are white or gray anyway. Do later uniform templates with color extend to the pants in 3D?

So the pants are always white or close to white throughout all time? That's a bit lame. Actually, more than a bit.

I think it depends of the team jersey color... I'm positive my Expos pants are blue on the road just like the Reds pants in this game are grey.

On this one I switched to the paint brush tool. Tolerance changes to Hardness which is set at 75% default. Then I zoomed the pic to 600% to work on it. I carefully did the top and bottom of the "C" and then the inside of the "C" just to get rid of the stripe. Switched back to the bucket fill tool and hit the spots I didn't do with the brush. The 50% tolerance was too much as it took out some of the letter. Lowered it to 20% and it was fine. Here is my results.

Wow. That's some hardcore image editing you're doing. I don't have a lot of patience to get into that level of trying to clean up images. I've done it, but I don't make a habit of it.
