I'm still hoping to see the "Drunk dumba** fan runs out onto the field and gets the holy living c**p beat out of him!" play.

Maybe PowerPlay Hockey will have the "fan scales the glass, slips on the ice, and knocks himself unconscious" play.

Somehow I doubt a real umpire or opposing manager would allow this to happen in a real game.

You didn't play Little League baseball in Sioux City, IA....all the umpires were 14 -16 years old.

I was just wondering earlier today if it's possible to get an inside the park homerun. I'm guessing that it is. Can anyone confirm it for me? I've probably only played out about 100 games.

I've had one inside the park homerun before, and I've only simmed 5 or so games directly.

As long as we're talking weird plays - anyone ever see a triple play? I've simmed a lot of games, but never seen any of the weird ones talked about here - the only really bizarre play I've seen is catchers' interference, and that one three or four times.

After having played out over 1,000 games since OOTP3, I have seen

The Canseco play (ball hits outfielder on the head and goes over the fence); a few triple plays, a few no-hitters, line drives hitting pitchers and ending up as put-outs, passed ball-third strikes of both types (runner safe and runner out - this seems new to OOTP5); a few ground-rule doubles; have never seen an inside-the-park home run or the "blow the ball foul" play; but in all I would have to say the rarest play I have ever seen... is the time Mike Piazza threw out Rafael Furcal stealing second

Meanwhile, what about starting a thread soliciting varied "wild card plays" in the hopes they are included in future versions? For instance, I have never seen fielders colliding, and that happens all the time in baseball....also animals running onto the field, idiots running onto the field, maybe the fans throwing things, resulting in a forfeit --- all these things happen, with varying degrees of effect on the game..

Any other suggestions??

I have played over 1500 games in OOTP4 and 5, not even counting 3, and have yet to see a triple play. I have seen inside-the-parkers, ground rule doubles, a throw from C after fielding a batted ball hitting the batter in the back with the batter being ruled out for leaving the basepath, and runner interference with a failed DP. Cather's interference happens way too often for my tastes, and I have yet to see a multiple-error play (which I suspect is not in the game).

I'd like to see IF/OF collisions and who's-got-it?-Nobody! added, too.

Remember that OOTP doesn't recognize names, so it wouldn't be possible to only have this realistically happen at White Sox home games, where their 12,000 fans on half-price half-wit night obviously can't handle their booze.

I just saw this play on The Lighter Side of Sports. They said that the correct ruling is Catcher's interference, and the batter should be awarded 1B. Interesting that I just saw it, to say the least...I wasn't aware of the rule until I saw this clip (then checked the boards to see if it was brought up. It was.)
