Final weekend project! I spent part of today going through more defunct teams and logos that I liked. One logo that caught my eye and attention was the Houston Comets from the WNBA. It helped that I found a baseball image online and learned to edit the logo to cover the basketball!!! When looking for a fictional team in Houston, I really felt that a space theme was the most appropriate. The colors provided a traditional palette of colors: red/white/blue which also represents the patriotic side of the United States of America. It took awhile to track down and edit the wordmarks, but I think it was well worth it. I hope you enjoy this creation as much as I do.

I will start by unveiling the Houston Comets jersey set of a traditional home, a traditional away, and 2 alternates.

Last, are the logos and wordmarks. I take not credit for designing any of these. I found them on the internet. I did take a lot of time and effort though cleaning up the wordmarks so that they would look nice in OOTP. Luckily, it was easy to edit a baseball over the basketball in the logo.

Based on the team from the Pecos League, another team that I have brought to life is the Tucson Saguaros. I really enjoy their color scheme and their logo.

I was looking on the MLB Defunct Saga and noticed the Washington Senators concept. I have always preferred the name Senators over Nationals. I decided to use the 2005 Nationals type uniforms for the classic home and away template. I combined the 2005 sleeve stripes and color with the wordmarks from SFGiants58. Then, I created the alternate red and blue jerseys. To top off this concept, I cleaned up a DC logo that I found on the internet for the small logo and formatted SFGiants58 for OOTP use.

I recently discovered a thread on the United Baseball Association. I really liked the concept of the Denver Bison by a user named Megildur. What sold me on the team is how it had a color scheme similar to the late 1980's Denver Nuggets. These color choices also help to bring alive the flavor of the Colorado state flag. Due to my intrigue, I decided to work on this team as a new fictional team possibility.

One team that I always liked growing up was the Phoenix Firebirds. When searching on the forums, there were scarce results, which kind of disappointed me. I thought it might be a good time to revive the Firebirds brand at this time for a potential fictional franchise. At the same time, I also created a vintage 1990s set of uniforms for anyone who likes realism. After a lot of research and persistence, I was able to find a home and away jersey script to help bring the Firebirds to life again!!! I hope you enjoy this set as much as I did creating them. This project was very enjoyable for me because it brought back a lot of great memories!!!

New expansion team idea. Modelled after the NBA's Charlotte Hornets, this potential team uses current Hornet wordmarks and the old logo (recolored to current color palette). This instant classic would have high merchandise sales around the league and be an immediate fan favorite.
