I do have to say, I like that alternate look with the snakey city name going down through the "S". They took it, of course, from the Stanley Cup Champion Seattle Metropolitans, so it's a nice homage to that time before the city felt that a brand new hotel (which, TBF, is still standing) was more important than a hockey rink (although to be fair to my fairness, the rink was actually on the site of a parking garage that has since been bulldozed).

I dunno......the Toronto Raptors is pretty awful because it's clear it was all about marketing and not about having a real connection to the city, but Kraken at least fits, given the connection between Seattle's sports teams and the sea (Seahawks, Mariners). I think it will age better than Raptors, and it's certainly no worse than the Anaheim Ducks.
