a couple of ways of doing it. You can copy all of the information into your create file and then that will be what you use every time you start a standard league or you could put them in a league folder and start a season right away with them. Until Gregg has a chance to do some work on the schedule you will have to correct the start date of the schedule I believe to 3/25 instead of 4/1 since the schedule starts earlier this year.

Is there a timetable for the finished version of the Total Minors set to be released?

Neuqua458,
Geforce lays out the timetable in the readme file he provides. But here it is. Any players on the 40-man roster not in this set (V1: Target Date Sunday, March 9) More major leaguer adjustments (my stats, split adjusted) (constant) Any players in Baseball America’s top 30 prospects for each team (2) Possible 2003 draftees (Eventual) Opening Day rosters (April 1) |

Dodgers Notes:
Darren Dreifort is missing from the Dodgers. That sucks big time. Kevin Brown is making around $300k. While that's great for my pocketbook, it really detracts from the realism. Quilvio Veras was signed to a minor league deal and he is not on the roster.

2. None of Rolen/GForce's rosters (I don't believe) have had accurate salary info. I'm pretty sure the game generates these somhow. 3. The read me says players on the 40 man roster are in this one. I don't think Veras is on the 40 as he basically got a minor league deal with an invitation to camp. I may be totally off base here, maybe GForce will have better answers when he's not visiting his newborn (congrats btw) Rich

Again, salaries weren't touched. It's easy enough for you to alter. Veras didn't play last year and isn't on the 40-man so he's not really someone I looked for, but I'll add him in v1. A few 40-man guys are still missing, which is the first thing I will be taking care of in my work on v1. If you have the Lahman Database you should be able to just import Dreifort. GH GH |

Salaries would be nice, but I think contract lengths are more important to me. When the player's contract is up, their salary is going to change to whatever OOTP5 thinks it should be. However, the lengths of the contracts are far more important to me. (For instance, on the Yankees Jason Giambi ends up being a free agent after the 2003 season. So that and some of the other players' contract lengths may need an adjustment.)
Another thing I saw that was mentioned earlier was the missing minor league team names, missing managers, incorrect coach names, etc. (However, most of those are cosmetic things that I can simply go in and change myself.) Anyways, enough anal nit-picking from me. Thanks for the roster set GeForce, and I can't wait to see what else you have in store for them. (Congrats on your son, by the way. To think, 18 years from now you'll be paying a fortune for his college education. )EDIT: Finishes typing out post and sees that GeForce has already responded and knows about everything I was mentioning. Learns to make quicker posts.

jdurg, I agree, contract lengths are more important. I'm forgetting who right now, but somebody here sent me a salary/contract file not too long ago. If he has it updated and gets it to me, I will try to accelerate the contract length part of it, hopefully into v1, if not then definitely v2.
It's really not a matter of contracts being unimportant guys, it's just a matter of getting the players rated well and into the game being more important. I'll be glad to get the contracts set well if time allows. GH |

GForce, the patch works great. Thanks a ton, and special congrats on becoming a daddy!
I know this is a beta and that you have some ambitious plans already in the works , but thought I'd point out the one issue I've seen. In a few instances the ai will place players in odd places in the lineup. For example, Colorado has Todd Helton leading off and Jay Payton batting cleanup. Nomar is batting sixth for the RedSox, the Cubs have Sosa batting 5th and Corey Patterson batting 4th, the Dodgers have Joe Thurston batting 4th, Phil Nevin bats 2nd for the Padres, and so on. Just wanted to flag this for your attention. Thanks again for the roster patch and also for making it available on launch day - I really enjoy starting careers with the real name players and all the history that comes with them.

I'm glad you like the file. I know there's a lot more to do, but I figured this would at least give people real names, prospects, etc. with good ratings, though not as accurate as they will be. There's more to come ![]() GH |

GForce. Thanks for your efforts on the roster set. Much appreciated. There is a small issue for you to fix with the schedule in your next release. Here is my reply on how to fix the problem from another thread. You can do this yourself in the next build and users wont have to do it themselves.
This problem (no players on allstar roster or all minor leaguers) is only occurring with GForce's addon rosters and here is how to correct. Prior to starting your season go to the edit schedule option and change year starts on date to Mar 24 or 3/24 in game format. Then skip forward to July 15th and delete the allstar game. Next key in allstar date as 7/15 and the allstar game will be readded and your problems solved. This is not an OOTP5 problem but rather an issue with third party schedule addons. The same must be done with the ones I created. __________________
